Making Salad

Today was a fun day for me. My dad cooks in his workshop on occasion. He has one of those single element burners and one of his specialties is chicken cutlets.
We make a great team -mom dips the chicken in milk, then flour, then egg and then the breadcrumbs and dad fries the cutlets. I keep a close eye on the floor to make sure nothing needs cleaning up. Mom loves it when dad cooks because all she has to do is make salad!

And I love helping mom make salad. Mom used fresh spinach today instead of lettuce. I'm not fond of the leaf but I do love the crunchy stem!
Next was the cucumber ~

I just luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv cucs! The're cold and wet and oh so yummy!

Then the carrots. Mom says these help keep my teeth clean!

Now the cheddar cheese chunks. ummmmmmmmmmm I love cheese!

Can you see that my beard is getting wetter and wetter with drool!

Now comes the croutons - they're cheese and garlic flavor. Hand it over mom! I can hardly wait!

So there you have it! Our dinner for tonight - a family affair!

Until next time...................

Love ya lots,

Maggie

  20. Sounds like U too had a perfect salad serve in parts. So, if U jump around after chowing, the salad will get toss in your stomach?!

Oooo... the cheese look absolutely to die for. I usually get only a tiny tiny peice.
