Will I be a He/She?

Mitch is a bit down and out today. He has news to share with you all and I think he needs lots of support so I told him that he could use MY blog to let you all know what's upsetting him so much!

Okay Mitch - your turn!

This coming Wednesday I have an appointment to have my boy bits altered. Does this mean I'll become a he/she doggie? Mom was fooling around with hats again this morning! I totally do NOT think this is funny at all! I want to be Maggie's brother, not her sister!
The vet told me that I have to stay overnight too and mom and dad truly don't like this idea at all. They want me home in my own bed and under THEIR watchful eye. Mom has decided that she will plead my case Wednesday morning and see if they will change their mind on this rule. I'll let you know if they buy into it!

And I guess this means that I'll have to wear that nasty dreaded lampshade?
Maggie didn't have to! She's never had to so I'm sure she'll be teasing me and laughing at me bigtime!

I'm so depressed........................

Please send me Aire-Zen! I think I will need lots of it!

Maggie will keep you all updated. She promised me she would!

Love ya lots and lots,

Mitch - Brother, not sister to Maggie!

  4. Hi Mitch...
It will be ok. Promise. I had my girly bits removed and I'm still all girl so I wouldn't worry at all.

You'll be a little loopy when you get home, but you'll be fine.

Sending lots of Aire and Boston Zen your way my friend!!!

    Lots of Licks, Ruby

  5. awwww... poooooor Mitch. the triple Bs had to have their boy stuff taken away too. it was not fun, but we did okay. Bailey came home that night and he was all druggy and weird. mom was worried about him, but he was totally fine the next day. Baxter had to spend the night in the hospital when he had his surgery, but mom visited him at night and he was okay. no one had to wear a cone head. we're just not gonna do that stuff. and you know, we're still BOYS because we still have our NOODLES - you know what that is, right? SCHNOODLES and POODLES have NOODLES. boys, do anyway. and that's the ticket, so you can lift your leg and pee on Everything. Yay for peeing. You'll be okay, little friend. Be brave and your mom and dad will take good care of you.

  6. Hi Mitch! Hi!

Don't worry Mitch, you are all boy and always will be! Your operation won't change that at all! Make sure that you get lots of treats and special attention after this is all over, okay? And I am betting on your Mom to get you out of that hospital before the sun goes down:) Keep us posted, K?

    Your Friend,

    Putter ...:)

  7. Mitch...quick, take that bonnet off you head and put on a baseball cap or something manly.

Don't worry, you're going to be fine and you'll get lots of attention, extra treats, and all the frosty paws you want.

  8. Hey Mitch! Guess what? Mom made an appt. for me to get spayed on Thursday! Our moms must think alike.

Lucky for me, I had a really bad ear infection over the weekend, and since the emergency vet charged an insane amout of $, mom can't afford to get me spayed this week, so it got postponed! YAY!

I hope you recover quickly. I hear it's easier for you boys, anyway :)

  9. Aw Mitch...

I still have my boy bits so I can't tell ya exactly what will happen, but I have been to the vet before and it's really not so bad... just don't lick or play with your stitches and maybe you won't have to wear the evil "elizabethan collar" (trust me on this one)...

Sending lots of BOY DALE energy to ya little buddy...

    Love,
    Bogart

  10. Hi, Mitch.
Please don't worry. You'll be a boy forever!
I had had 2 surgeries and had to use the cone, but it wasn't too bad!
I am sure your mom will take you out of the clinic the same day and she will take good care of you at home.
    Have a nice day

  11. I had my manly bits taken from me too - and I am still all boy!!! So, don't worry.

However, I do give you permission to nip at the vet a little if they give you a mohawk on your privates, like they did to me! That is not cool!

  12. Oh Dave!
I just hate to hear this! Tell your mum to be VERY stern with the vet about letting you come home! Mum has a good friend that was so insistent and stern that she has even been admitted into the surgery room while it all happens!!
Sending lots of AireZen your way!
    AireZEN for Dave!

Sorry to hear about your boy parts going away. It's still a mystery why they always want to "fis" us? Like there is something wrong.....Woo

But I think its really all for good, cuz I know all our mom and dads love us lots and I guess we just gotta grin and bear
this "fixing" thing out. We wish you a speedy recoveryMitch.

  19. Aw Mitch! Don't worry about it. It will be over real quick. The worse part is actually the lampshade.

By the way you may want to let your Mummy know that the bonnet is confusing. Especially when you are going to be missing some boy bits!!

  26. Aw Jaffa, you'll be OK. I had my op in Jan and is wasn't bad. I was allowed home a few hours after my op so mum should definitely plead your case. I did however have to wear a stoopid lampshade, but only because I kept "investigating" my stitches. Maybe you can behave better than me and won't have to wear it.

I'll have my paws crossed for you on Wednesday!

  27. Maggie,

    Put Mitch on.
Mitch- It's gonna be okay. I was fine right after the surgery (I have it last Thursday). I wasn't even out of it. Now I can have the FUN I want without ANY responsibility. You will be just fine. P.S. I heard they give you icecream if you stay overnight.

  28. Maggie, this if for Mitch's eyes only.

    Mitch,

While there is nothing that can replace the balls to which you have become so attached, I can assure you that you will pull through with no major problems! Since I had my bits snipped I've become quite fond of collecting balls of all types.

If Maggie will ever stop hogging the pooter and let you read a little (my blog & others), you'll see that you can still be a manly Dale even after you're excursion to the vet.

Lots of AireZen coming your way,
    Stanley

  31. Hey Mitch! Don't worry, pal! Me and Dave are manly men, but we've both had that operation. I didn't have to wear the lampshade at all (don't know about Dave, he was already fixed when he got here) - maybe you won't have to, either!
