Mom and Dad's Anniversary

Yesterday was mom and dad's anniversary! They've been married FOREVER! Dad asked mom if she wanted to go out to celebrate and she told dad that she preferred to cook a nice dinner and stay home with us! awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, thanks, mom!

Mom decided on a corned beef and cabbage with boiled potatoes and carrots and dad was very happy with that choice!

I was helping mom put carrots in the pot while Mitch was outside helping dad in the workshop! I'm sure a good helper!

Mom lit a candle and she had a nice warm fire going in the fireplace! Mitch loves the fireplace! He loves to lay on the hearth rug and cook his head!
I'm just the opposite! I'd rather stay in the kitchen as far away from the fireplace as possible! I hate the heat!

Mom and dad had NASCAR on once again. We're still waiting for our M&M car to win a race! It came in fourth place again! It came in fourth place last week at Daytona too! What's with the fours! We want first place, Kyle!

Mitch and I both scored a mouthful of corned beef! Mom loves feeding us off of a fork! She says for sure, Mitch is less grabby this way!

And seeing as I really prefer to stay clean, I don't mind the fork at all!

Mom and dad didn't have any fancy desserts! They both said with the wine and that huge dinner they were stuffed enough!

Happy Anniversary, mom and dad! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

So until next time....................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

  2. Happy anniversary to your mom and dad! We eat from forks too! It seems our mom and dad would rather keep their fingers. Dad has tried throwing treats for us to catch, but I usually miss them and Penny has a tendency to throw them back! The forks are much safer.

  9. That's so cool they stayed home with you to celebrate. My parents have only had 2 anniversaries. The first one I got to go camping with them and this last one we had to take care of Mom because she had surgery just a few days before. i hope we do something fun again this year because taking care of Mom after the surgery was no fun at all.
I'm sure if Kyle had had the M&Ms on his car instead of that battery company the race would have gone much better and probably ended yesterday instead of a little bit ago.

Hmmm corned beef, did you have a nice white sauce over it????
Pinky decided to try to feed us using a fork the other day after seeing you guys eat so beautifully with one. More food ended up on the floor than in our mouths lol. I guess we need to practise some more!!!

  19. Grammie and Pappy have their anniversary this week also. They have been married since dirt was created. I don't think they will that stuff in your pot though. Best wishes to your Mom and Dad. Enjoy eating off a fork and the next thing they will have you at the table with napkins.

  32. Our mom said the same thing when dad asked her if she wanted to go out to dinner for their anniversary in December. Isn't it great to be so popular that your humans would rather spend their time at home with you rather than a restaurant. Happy anniversary Maggie and Mitch's parents.

Happy Anniversairey to your mama & dad! Sounds like they've been together FOREVER! That, and the fact that they were adopted by you & Mitch, are enough reasons to celebrate. Very cool that they acknowledged that the best time would be had with you guys!

I'm absolutely LOVING the photos of you guys eating (especially the photo of you helping with the carrots, Maggs). Your mama is very talented at multi-tasking.

Celebratory goob smooches to both your mama & dad! (Extra juicy ones for your mama.)
