Our Trip to Rhode Island

We left for Rhode Island late yesterday morning! Mom packed our dindin and a cooler of water and off we went! The plan was to have fish-n-chips and clam cakes at Captain Jack's in Point Judith early afternoon! Seeing as it was almost noon and dad didn't want to spoil his appetite for our picnic, he decided to have a snack on the road! You're going to share some of that, right, dad? Remember how much I LOVE apples - all fruit actually!

Our first stop was the Harley Dealership in Exeter, RI. Dad's very good friend, Dana, manages the shop there! Dana is the nice man who sent Guinness to mom and Guinness is the one who's sweet on Autumn! Dana gave us a Harley Davidson rope bone! Wasn't that so sweet of him? It kept Mitch occupied till we got to Captain Jack's!

OMG, mom! Your lunch looks so yummy! Mom and dad ate clam cakes until they were both stuffed!
This was our picnic view! Dad spent summers on Point Judith with his family when he was just a kid. He loves it here so today was a pretty special trip for him! We had a beautiful breeze and it was overcast - the perfect day for a fun trip!

We had the most fun day! Thank you so much Dana for our new Harley bone! I can tell you already which one of us thinks it's HIS!

I know you're not seeing ME in any of these pictures but I really was there! I spent 90% of my time staring out the open back window and catching all the beautiful breezes and the wonderful smells!

We discovered when we came home that our dear friend, Baby Love has passed! We are so very, very sad. Baby Love was one special girl and we will greatly miss her. Run free, Baby Love! We love you!

Maggie and Mitch

  14. Hi M & M!

Boy, I hope you got some time running on the beach! It would be a shame to get that close to saltwater and not be able to take a little dip. Me? I'm still plopping into the pool at the dog run with Asta, waiting for our trip to the beach in September!

Did you get to clean up those plates???

  35. That sounds like it was a great little road trip. I love going anywhere with my people.
That was very nice of Dana to give you a Harley rope bone too. Did you know that it's Harley's 105th Birthday this year? My girl tells me that it's going to get really noisy here by my house in August when all the motorcycles come to visit. I'm scared of motorcycles and I can tell that she's worried about how I'll handle it.
Anyhow, I hope your humans shared some of that yummy looking food with you both!
