Wheelie Wednesday - The Beard Challenge

Hi everybody! It's me, Autumn! Today is a very important day! It's October 1st and we all have to log in our beard measurements for Stanley and Stella's beard growing competition in honor of Stanley's dearly departed buddy, Dovah Doo, who had one fabulous beard!

Stella states that the rules are open to any dog, hammie or cat! Well, I'm a wheelie dog! Do I count, Stella? My beard is an impressive 1 1/4"!

Farley got wind of the challenge and he wanted to enter too! We don't think he's going to win much as his measley peach fuzz is less than 1/4" but he didn't want to feel left out!

My friend, Johnathan is the only doggie stuffie that can possible even come close to a win at
2 3/4"!! whoooooohooooooooo - way to go, Johanathan!
And seeing as it's Wednesday and it's my day to blog, Maggie and Mitch asked me if I'd please post their measurement pictures too!

Mitch's little boy beard, if you yank it down because it's curling from all the apple juice from the free apples that he steals, is 2 1/4"! You still have him beat, Johnathan! Nice work!

And now for my sissy! OMG, I think she lost inches from last year! It must be that darn Mitch's fault! He does tug at it every so often! It's only 4" if you straighten out the ruler and last January it was a whole half inch longer!

I'll be reading all of my herb books, Maggie, and we'll see what we can do to rub into your beard to help it grow fast and furious before January 1, 2009!

See you all next Wednesday!

Love, Autumn

  1. Great beard pictures! Our mom wants to enter Penny, this year, but there is a problem with getting a picture of her beard. She's such a camera chicken! Maybe she can enter Poppy instead. Patches might go for most improved, since she hardly has any beard at the moment!

    Aire-hugs,
    Poppy, Penny & Patches

  9. What do you guys think? My hair grows pretty fast. Course Mom says I might look a bit on the silly side(not to mention the food and water I'll spread around.) But Mom said when it got long enough, she could try to braid it like you did last year. Do you guys think I should try this??
And yeah, Scooter wants to find a beard to buy and glue on *sigh*
    Bless his heart.

  14. This is going to be one great contest, and I'm going to watching everyone's beards grow.

    Too bad I don't have one. I think I have 2 or 3 chinny-chin-chin hairs.

  15. Maggie's beard is still pretty impressive. Alas...I have no beard :( but I'll be entering the muddy face competition!

  16. Oh dear. Poor Maggie! That sounds serious. Losing a half inch off your beard is something to be concerned about. Maybe you should take some extra vitamins, Maggie, or else use some kind of beard-growing balm or tonic. But of course, I am not one to be giving beard growing advice. Have you seen mine? It's kind of puny compared to yours. So, don't listen to anything I said.

    Love and Koobuss Kisses,

  19. WOW, all of your beards are looking great. I think Maggie is going to be one of the top dogs again this year. Her beard is amazing. If you find what herbs will help the beard grow, let me know. Mom always gets my beard cut down, but if it grows super fast, maybe she'll let me keep my beard. That would be so cool!

    Kirby

  24. Good evening m & m.
It is a measurement of the length of the beard.
Incidently, majors are the marks by the inch.
It is a meter mark in Japan.
I thought that the length of the beard of magie was 30 centimeters
momentarily. This is a hearty laugh. :D

  31. Hey, guys!

You are all duly entered into the Beard Growing Competition! I'm personally cheering for Maggsie, since the Stellanator tugs out what beard I'm able to grow, but we'll see.

You guys all look fabulous, and remember... there's nothing wrong with peach fuzz!

    Goober love & smooches,
    Stanley
