An Awesome M&M Invention

Look what mom came home with today! It's a fan to cool us down when we get back in the truck from when we hike up Sleeping Giant!

Isn't he just the coolest! See that little yellow M&M candy button under Mr. Easter bunny M&M's feet? It makes the propellers turn and we get a burst of aire!

Here's Mitch checking it out!

Now it's my turn to see it up close! He's quite cool looking with his sunglasses on!

Mom couldn't wait to show us how it worked!

hummmmmmmm - not sure we're going to like this fan after all! Oh well - at least mom got to enjoy the yummy M&M candies that were stored inside this little guy! It's the thought that counts, right mom?!

So until next time.................

Love ya lots,

We're M&M's!!!!!

Mom found this neat M&M website where you can make yourself into and M&M!

It's summer at my house and I'm getting ready to enjoy an ice cream cone! Anybody out there want to join me?!
We made Mitch into an M&M too!

What do you think you're doing standing on top of that horse, Mitch! You'd better get down before you fall!

Boys will be boys!
Snowball awarded us the funky blog award! Thank you so much, Snowball!

Today our blog is really funky! hehehe

We'd like to pass this award onto our nanny friend, Putter and also to Scruffy, Lacie and Stan! If you haven't seen Lacie's Easter bonnet photo yet you're missing out! It's just too cute!

Mom and Dad's Anniversary

Yesterday was mom and dad's anniversary! They've been married FOREVER! Dad asked mom if she wanted to go out to celebrate and she told dad that she preferred to cook a nice dinner and stay home with us! awwwwwwwwwwwwwww, thanks, mom!

Mom decided on a corned beef and cabbage with boiled potatoes and carrots and dad was very happy with that choice!

I was helping mom put carrots in the pot while Mitch was outside helping dad in the workshop! I'm sure a good helper!

Mom lit a candle and she had a nice warm fire going in the fireplace! Mitch loves the fireplace! He loves to lay on the hearth rug and cook his head!
I'm just the opposite! I'd rather stay in the kitchen as far away from the fireplace as possible! I hate the heat!

Mom and dad had NASCAR on once again. We're still waiting for our M&M car to win a race! It came in fourth place again! It came in fourth place last week at Daytona too! What's with the fours! We want first place, Kyle!

Mitch and I both scored a mouthful of corned beef! Mom loves feeding us off of a fork! She says for sure, Mitch is less grabby this way!

And seeing as I really prefer to stay clean, I don't mind the fork at all!

Mom and dad didn't have any fancy desserts! They both said with the wine and that huge dinner they were stuffed enough!

Happy Anniversary, mom and dad! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

So until next time....................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

Our Saturday Pizza

Dad normally swims at the YMCA on Saturday afternoons and he'll stop and pick up a pizza on his way home! Pizza makes us the happiest dogs in the whole wide world! OMG, Mitch - check it out!! Are we totally drooling or what?!

Wonder what dad spilled on his sweatshirt? He hasn't had a taste of his pizza yet! You're going to share that, right dad?!

This weeks pizza is half bacon and half onion! We don't get a piece all to ourselves like some of you do - we only get the crust! But we're not complaing - it's pizza and we're very happy campers that it has made its way into our house and we get to have some!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaa, I score the first crust! More please!

We think Saturday is our happiest day of the whole week! Bless that person who invented pizza! We'll be forever indebted to them!

I have to say that I scored more pizza than Mitch did but my little beer guzzling brother got a taste of mom's beer! Look how happy he is! Can you see those black lips smiling away?!

Some of you might not know this but while mom was in Florida, Mister Mitchman broke the tap on the keg of beer that we had at our Celebration of Life pawty by chewing it to death and he was getting himself pretty bammed up on Sam Adams! The beer keg was on the cold side of the barn waiting to get picked up and Mitch was out there helping himself! He had created a nice little beer puddle on top of the keg and he was having his own pawty! Dad didn't discover Mitch missing from the workshop for a few minutes so the little lush had a pretty good swig of draft beer for himself!

See my tail in the above picture? That's me running as mom is offering me a taste of her Corona!

Sorry, mom! I don't "do" beer! YUK!

Real ladies don't drink beer but I'll have more pizza if you're offering it!

So until next time..................

It's Snowing!!!!!!!!!

We're getting snow! OMG, we are soooooooooooooo excited!

Just after breakfast, mom made us put on our coats to go out to do pee and poo so we wouldn't get soaked from these big snowflakes! She said it's easier to toss our damp coats on the radiator to dry them off then for us to walk around wet all day long!

Mitch can't stand wearing his coat! He runs when he sees mom coming with it! hehehehe

I don't mind wearing my coat at all! It's pretty and it keeps me warm and dry! I hate being wet all day long! It feels awful!

We're over by our small pond staying underneath the pine trees and trying to keep dry. Mitch and I both sorta need to see green to inspire us to pee and poo! hummmmmmmm we're not seeing a whole lot of green over here, are we Mitch?!

OMG but this is such fun! Mom and Dad both think we're nuts! They want warmth and flowers and spring but we haven't really had a good snowfall yet so we are both super psyched! We're hoping that the snow keeps coming down all day long and so far, the snowGods are listening to us!

We got our morning business done and mom brought us back inside and rewarded us! Can you see both of our noses? Mom has two treats and she said, Maggie first, but does Mitch ever listen?! NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

We've been watching the snow come down for the past few hours! Mom says there's about 6 inches out there! Whooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooo - keep on coming down snow! More is always better!

So until next time...........

Love ya lots,

Mama Pajama Tells a Story

We got a book in the mail today. The book is called "Mama Pajama Tells a Story" and the author is our very own Patience, who we blog with at DWB and who owns the nine Whippets (or should we say, who the nine Whippets own!) - Charlie, Luciano, Maria, Sam I Am, Lindy Loo, Swede William, Giacomino, Delia and of course, Mama Pajama!

If you haven't read Patience's blog, you're missing out on a real treat! Her stories are so heart warming and wonderful!

Patience even signed our copy! She signed, "To Sue and the M&M's - Maggie and Mitch"! That's us! Do we feel so special or what?!

I'm ready with one of my favorite teddies, mom! Can you please read the story to me?
Me too, mom! Don't forget about us!

It's a cold day here today and we can't wait to get all snuggly with mom and start the first chapter! Thanks in advance, Patience! We know we're just going to LOVE this book!

So until next time..............

My Ouchie Snoot

Hi everybody - it's me, Mitch! I guess by now everybody knows that I ran into a tree on the ski slopes at Mount Hairy Lodge this past weekend and suffered an ouchie snoot!

This is how Lacie put it:

Mitch: Injured Dale Snoot. He seems to have hit a tree sideways and smacked his nose on it. Ouchie.....! Treatment is a large ice bag applied to the affected area for 20 minutes 4 times a day. Never apply ice directly to the skin.

Seems just about the time my nose finally warms up, mom comes around again with the ice pack! She says she doesn't want me to have any lasting damage from that nasty old tree!

No mom, not my head - my NOSE!!!! I still have all of my marbles! Thank goodness my noggin is okay!

Today is a pretty quiet day around here! We had a blast at Koobie's pawty and Maggie and I are both still so worn out from all of the fun activities for 3 whole days! I think we have some catching up to do on our sleep!

Guess what? Our day suddenly got better! Mom and dad are watching the NASCAR Daytona 500 and we have discovered that there is an M&M car and it's driven by Kyle Busch so we are happy to announce that #18 is our car for this year! Last time we peeked at the TV, car #18 was in first place! whooooooooooohoooooooooooo

Update: #18 didn't win the race but he was in first place for a whole bunch of laps! Kyle finished the race in fourth place! Way to go, Kyle! We'll be watching you, buddy! You're driving our car, ya know!

And we just had another surprise! Baby is home!! We are doing happy dances here! If you haven't stopped by to tell Baby yet how much you've missed her, pop on over!

So until next time...............

Yer friend,

Mitch

Koobie's Snow Pawty

We've been invited to Koobie's snow pawty in the Poccono's on Valentine's day! We both love the snow and all of our friends will be there so this is going to be one fun pawty!!

Harry has invited me to be his date and I'm just beside myself with excitement! Nothing like this has ever happened to me before! I sure hope Harry doesn't mind a tag-a-long brother! *eye roll*

I've always thought that Harry was just so dreamy and he's the perfect gentleman! Maybe Mitch could even learn some manners from him!

Koobie says that it's going to be cold and we need to bundle up so mom insisted that I wear a wool cap!

Awwww, come on, mom! I can't see!

There! That's much better! Thanks, mom!

Mom tried to get Mitch to wear a hat too and he ran when he saw the hat coming at his head but mom did insist on him wearing mittens and he gave in!

Mom told us that we could borrow her toboggan as long as Ruby will let us bring it aboard her plane. There's room on it for 4 or 5 of us at a time!

Maybe we can get going and push Mitch off in a snowbank somewhere! What do you think of that idea, Harry? hehehehe

We thoughts we'd bring some cookies to share!

Hey, Mitch! I think I hear AireRuby coming in for a landing! See you all soon!

Happy Valentine's day, everybody!

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

Mom is home!!!

Mom had quite the story to tell us about her 11:20 AM flight being cancelled and having to fly in the dark instead. She spent all day yesterday at the aireport and we hear that she had a Carvel ice cream sundae for dinner! Lucky you, mom! We had ice cream too while you were gone!

Mitch and I went with dad to pick her up last night at 11PM and because of the snow and ice all over the roads, we didn't get home till this morning at 1AM so we were totally bushed when we finally made it home! Mom says no more flying to Florida in February if she can help it!

But she did bring us a nice surprise - Chocolate chip cookies! We've never had those before! Can you see that I'm soaking wet in this picture! It's raining on top of the snow here today and it's so YUCKY! We finally got decent snow and now it's all wet and slushy! DARN!

I got to taste the first cookie!!! Mitch was out in the workshop with dad and mom opened the package without him! HAHA

Check out my new collar! It's from Miss Patience and the Whippets! Isn't it just the most perfect thing you ever saw! It was totally made for ME! I've never had a martingale collar before and mom is anxious to see how it works when I go for a walkie. I'm not really the puller anymore, mom! That would be the MitchMan! Thank you so much, Miss Patience! Mom and I both LOVE the collar a LOT!

Bogie's treat package came in the mail while mom was in Florida and dad put it way up high so we couldn't reach it till mom came home to open it for us! She told dad that the camera had to be involved so not to open it early and he didn't!

It was worth the wait! OMG, these treats are to-die-for! This is Bogie's package of beef heart! Mom cut the package open with sissors and we were both up on our hind legs trying to climb inside the package! It smelled THAT good!

This is the chicken chips! Mom says this one smells a whole lot better to her and she was going to take a bite but neither me or Mitch thought it was a good idea! Hey, the package had our name on it, mom! Please hand it over!

Thank you so much, Bogie! You are one great chef! We'd visit your restaurant anytime we were ever in the neighborhood!

We also want to thank Kirby for the adorable Valentines that he sent us in the mail! What a surprise and how thoughtful you are, Kirby! Thank you so much!

And we also want to thank Asta for the super sweet and cute Valentine she sent us online! Thank you so much, Asta! We feel so special! You guys are both too kind!

We feel like the luckiest pups in the world today! Our tummies are full of the yummiest treats! I have a brand new M&M collar that I love to death and we got mail from our best buddies and our mom is home! What could possibly be better!

See you all tomorrow at Koobie's Valentines pawty! I'm picking out my special skiing outfit today, Harry! I can't wait! I feel like the luckiest girl alive to be going with you, Harry!

So until next time..................

Love ya lots,

Maggie
