Thanks, George!

We were at George's blog this morning and he was going on and on about how he didn't have time for blogging because his weather was just so perfect and he was having too much fun playing with all of his friends!

It's been rainy and drizzly and boring and depressing here so we asked George to please send us some of his delightful weather! He heard us!!! The gardens are happy!

And Dauby, our Mute swan is happy!
And we are very happy! We can go for our walkie and not get wet!

Thanks, George! We owe you, buddy!

So until next time.................

Love ya lots,

B-O-R-I-N-G

BORING! That's how the last two days have been for us! Dad is away and mom has been washing every single window in the house and it's been no fun for us! The weather has been poopy and we've been dodging raindrops and drizzle for walkies!

One good thing did happen yesterday though! Mom made a loaf of her famous sweet bread in the bread machine! We love when she dumps the bread out of the pan to cool! No way will we leave the kitchen until she shares a piece of that warm crust with us!

No licky licky on mom's bread, Mitchy or you'll be in BIG trouble!

Dad comes home today and guess what's for dindin? PIZZA! So our day will get better very soon! We hope everybody else is having a fun weekend!

So until next time..............

Love ya lots,

This Is So Cool!

Autumn told you all that our gram shipped lots of boxes to us not long ago! One of the boxes contained this beautiful work of art! This picture is made entirely of butterfly wings! Isn't it the coolest thing you ever saw?Because the wings are iridescent, as you walk by the picture, the colors change and it looks entirely different! It looks different in the middle of the day and even more different at night with the lamps on!

It's just gorgeous and very mesmerizing! The more you stare at it and move past it, the more colors you see -blues and purples and aquas!

We've also been racking up the awards! Thank you so much, Happy!
We would like to award our friend, Pacco!

And we were awarded this one from Pacco and we would like to award it to our friend, Petey! We love your blog, Petey! You are one fine movie director!

And we received this award from the 4B's - Brody, Benson, Baxter and Bailey! Thank you very much, guys! We are honored!

We would like to award the "you lift my spirit" award to Ludo! Ludo is getting a new Airedale brother and he'll be arriving early next week! You need to go see how cute Otto is!

So until next time............

Wheelie Wednesday - Farley Is Feeling at Home

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!Farley and I have been having a gentle discusssion all this week about his looking exactly like Hector. He really needs to be himself, don't you think?! I told him that it's okay to admire Mango's wheelie brother because he really is a wonderful wheelie boy to look up too - an outstanding citizen, a friend to all and most of all the most handsomest wheelie boy that makes my little heart go pitterpatterpitterpatter! Farley has agreed to let his bandana go and I agreed to make him an autumn necktie in it's place! I searched through mom's earring box and found a Terrier tie-tack so Farley is looking pretty spiffy, I think! We have to tell you all that our gram sent mom lots of boxes this week and we are unpacking all kinds of goodies! This neat settee came in one of the boxes and Farley asked if it couldn't please be his for keeps! Sure, why not! We've got to make the boy feel right at home, right?! There's even room for you to keep your wheels right next to you when you want to step off of them! This teddy bear and his writing arm chair came out of another box! It's been like Christmas here all week and we're meeting so many new friends! Would you like a nice book to read? I have one that's just perfect for you! This guy was so exhausted from his journey that he couldn't even move his lips to tell me his name! I wonder if he gives free donkey rides?
Are you gram? Did you mail yourself in the box along with all the goodies? I never met gram before, ya know! You must be very warm with all of those fur pieces on!

Uh oh! Look what Farley found! Now you be careful up there, ya hear?!

It looks like we may have another daredevil wheelie boy on our hands! I've got to keep this boy away from Hector's blog!
See you all next Wednesday!

Love, Autumn

A Giant Win and a Yummy Dindin

Dad's NY Giants won in overtime yesterday and he was very happy! Mom loves to make longer cooking meals on football Sunday and yesterday's dindin was corned beef and cabbage!

Mitch and I helped mom as she added stuff to the pot! We both had to sample a carrot to make sure it was fresh and acceptable!

The cabbage was added next and we needed to make sure that the leaves were firm and crisp and not wilty!

Mom wouldn't share any raw potatoes with us but those went into the pot too along with the big hunk of corned beef, which was very good after it had boiled FOREVER!!!! The house smell soooooooooo good!

Guess what we had for dessert, which is a rare treat around here! APPLE CRUMB PIE!!!!!!!!!! OMG, it was so good and we each got a sampling of it!

We had a VERY good Sunday! How was yours?

So until next time....................

Love ya lots,

A Hike and Some Donuts

We hiked Sleeping Giant yesterday! This is the very first thing we do when we arrive! We gotta let every doggie know that Maggie and Mitch were here!

We sure do love coming up here! There are just so many awesome smells!

Here is mom's favorite rock! She tosses coins at it every time we come up here! I wonder if anybody ever finds her coins? UHOH! Mitch has weckies all over himself! Dad let him sniff too far off the trail and he tangled with the weckie plant!
Mom says his fur-type is much easier to comb these nasty little buggers out of than mine is! Mine is more like wool and it tangles and the weckies stay hidden in my beard for days and days! It drives mom nuts!

Poor, Mitchy! He's got them in his eyebrows very close to his eyes! ewwwwwwwwwww

There's the castle at the top! The moon is still out! Can you see it all the way to the right just above that tree branch?

This morning our friend, Dana came up from Rhode Island to spend the day with dad! Guess what he brought for mom and us? Jelly donuts from Dunkin Donuts! OMG, thank you so much, Dana!
We haven't had one of these delicious babies since dad's tour of barns in the spring! OMG, I'm drooling!!!

We could eat these every single day of our lives and never get tired of it! What a wonderful invention!Thank you so much, Dana! You can come and visit us anytime!

So until next time.................

Love ya lots,

You Just Won't Believe It!

Mitch and I finally finished reading "What Dog Are You" and our test scores are in and we know which dog breed's bodies we're supposed to be in!

You're not going to believe this! I'm a Toy American Eskimo dog! No offense to the Eskies but this dog looks nothing like me! He's not even close to the same color I am!

The book calls me a Gem and this is what it says about Gems: If you're honest I'm sure you'll even admit that on occassion a muzzle might have come in handy! Good or bad Gems never have a problem letting you know what's on their mind. You're always enjoyable........even sarcasm is barked in a pleasant tone. The worst situation for you is to be chained to a stake, socially isolated and all alone!

You tend to like the trendy, diamond studded collars in life and don't mind shelling out the biscuits to buy them. Your not a show off though, and gladly let your friends play with your new toys. Always friendly, you're the first to show appreciation and nuzzle you friends and family.

After a hard days work, you can be very rambunctious and silly, almost to the extreme. You might even be willing to call in sick at work just to keep a party going. A Gems idea of enjoying life is to have every waking moment spent and cherished with family and friends. Even when you're taking a vacation the destination would be of no consequence, as long as your circle of friends and family were there.

Gems can be picked out of a crowd by their relaxed and fun nature, and would gladly meet your gaze with a smile. You might be an entrepreneur, a member of the local drama club or do volunteer work.

hummmmmmmmm - Well, yes, this does sound an awful lot like me, I do have to admit!

Guess whose body Mitch is supposed to take on? A Chesapeake Bay Retriever! A little bit closer but still no cigar!

The book says that Mitch is a Contender! Contenders are yappy, and have a well-rounded, cooperative personality. You don't need a large pack of friends, but cherish you few long-standing ones. You are able to understand and learn new things fast, and able to make quick decisions based on pure instinct.

You like your digs comfortable, and have a real thirst for the latest high tech toys. You try and keep pace with the people and environment around you. At work and at home you give one hundred percent, and wouldn't want it any other way.

If your down time is not structured you have a tendency to endlessly play fetch. Plan ahead, but don't end up stuck in the doghouse. Not wanting to miss any oopportunity to live life to the fullest, you are always active and on the go. A perfect weekend or vacation would be to a tropical all-inclusive resort.

Mitch loves tug on his down time, not fetch, but the rest of it is pretty accurate!

We really enjoyed reading this book and taking the quiz! If anyone else would like to read the book, let us know and we'll ship it to you! Maybe we can keep it going all over the world so that everyone gets a chance to read it and tell us which breed's body they're supposed to live in!

We received the gold paw award from our buddy Charlie! Thank you so much, Charlie! We are honored!

We would like to pass this award onto Amber-Mae!

And Noah gave us Rusty's Best Bud Award! What a cute award! Thank you so much, Noah! We would like to pass this award onto Huskee! We've been best buds with Huskee for a very long time!So until next time.............

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

Wheelie Wednesday - Meet Hector-Farley

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!

Farley arrived here on Saturday afternoon! Mom cut the tape on the box and out popped Hector-Farley's head! Mitch was right there to witness the whole thing!

Mitch asked him right off the bat what his real name was! He told Mitch that his name was Farley, not Hector!

We have spent hours getting to know each other!

Farley is one cool guy! He says that he is not a clone of our wheelie friend, Hector! He says that he's a HUGE admirer of Hector's and wants to be just like him in every way, shape and form! So that's why he looks exactly like him and has a bandana exactly like Hector's! Our conversation continued over tea......

Farley said that he's from a small town in Texas and his owner knew that Hurricane Ike was coming and wanted to get Farley as far away as possible as soon as possible! He told me that he was lonely and didn't have a loving home and that's one reason why he looked up to Hector and considered him his hero! He also told me that Ike was just the excuse his owner needed to list him on ebay and send him on his way!
Farley has the most beautiful eyes! They just sparkle!

Then it was Maggie's turn to meet Farley! She told him that he'd wouldn't have to worry about not being loved and cared for at our house! He's got his forever home right here!

Mr. Goofy Rooster overheard the conversation and came over to welcome Farley! They liked each other instantly!

Farley told us that one of his greatest wishes was to be a wheelie! So we gave him wheels!

We're so glad that Farley has come to live with us! We're going to get along just fine!

See you all next Wednesday!

Love, Autumn

A Book and a Painting

We hit the jackpot today! The mailman delivered our "What Dog are You" book from Butchy and Snickers!

We started to read it and discovered that there are several quizzes that we have to take so we got a pad of paper and both of us were answering the same questions to see if we could match each other! I can't wait to see what breed of dog the book says that I should be! We'll make sure we give you a full book report in a couple of days!

We also got a painting in the mail that mom won on ebay! Mom really thinks that the dog in the front looks like me with that extra long beard and the aging face and natually the dog behind me would be Mitch with the shorter beard and bigger ears!

We both love riding in dad's pick-up truck so much! Our rides wouldn't be half as much fun if we only had mom's car!
Mom thinks it's a wonderful painting to add to our Airedale painting collection! Now to find the perfect spot!

So until next time................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch
