The Heart Pawty

The celebration of life pawty on Valentine's day went well! Mom kept her word and checked on us many times during the evening and each time she did we got a potato chip and the next time a cookie and pizza crusts and cheese! Mitch was loose in the house with me the whole time! Mom didn't make him stay in his bedroom and he was a good boy - he didn't do one thing wrong! Can you picture the halo over his head?!

One of mom and dad's friends brought a Valentine goodie bag! There were 2 heart lei's in it~And a heart shaped container of M&M treats! Mitch and I think that Rebecca had us in mind but mom said no chocolate for us! Mom is grumpy because she didn't get enough sleep! There was even a heart-shaped Pez dispenser and pez candy! That's not chocolate! Can we have some of that, mom? There were even lucky lovers message dice in the goodie bag! Each side of one of the die has a message on it like "kiss my" or "tickle my" and the other die had messages that say "face" or "chest" or "paws"! It sounds like a very strange game to us and not fun at all! Look what one of the guest brought dad! It's fudge! ummmmmmmmmmm Grumpy mom says we can't have any of that either!Look what my sissy and her hubby brought! They are ribbon-shaped white chocolate candies! We can't believe she could be so mean as to bring something that we can't have! They're so pretty and they smell so yummy! There were 2 huge baskets of them! Gosh, mom - they're not even brown like chocolate is! Don't you think this variety is the safe kind of chocolate?!
Now you're talkin'! Melon chunks wrapped in prosciutto! Thanks, mom!
We are so happy that Putter's mom came to the pawty and stayed overnight with us and even went on our morning walkie with us! Come back anytime, Miss Kate! You are lots of fun to be with!

So until next time...............

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

That sure is a happy looking dog getting prosciutto! Much better than chocolate even if it isn't heart shaped.

Sounds like a lot of fun was had by all.

Glad you all had a great time at the pawty. Love the pez dispenser hehe. Gotta say, the prosciutto and melon sounds yummo. We've had crispy prosciutto but never with melon.

It sounds like you two got lots of yummy foodables even if you couldn't have the chocolate! We think your dad's pawty is a GREAT way to celebrate life! Here's hoping he has like a gazillion more of them!

Sounds like a wonderful party. Too bad about the chocolate. That is the problem with Valentine's Day - too many good things that we pups can't eat. But it was good of your mom to bring you pizza, chips and prosciutto.

Your friend,
Niamh

My Jeannie gets chocolate cravings, and she was just trying to resist her craving (the afternoon one!), when we clicked on to your blog to read the latest news!

So now she has broken into the new chocolate bar in the cupboard......sadly, like you, none for me.

She tells me it is Green and Blacks Organic 85% cocoa beans and it is very good for her!!

Somehow I don't believe her!

I am so glad the happy heart party went well and you both got treats.

I am also glad your Dad's heart is happy!!

that party sounds like a lot of fun, even though you were tucked away in your house! that was so nice of your mom to give you a special treat every time she checked on you and we are so proud of Mitch for being good in the house.

there sure was a lot of chocolate there. it must have smelled really yummy. that's such a huge bummer that humans will never share chocolate with us dogs.

woofs.

Hi Maggie,
Hey, you need to let your mom know that the M&M chocolates are definitely meant for none other than Maggie & Mitch.. They named the brand after you guys, so you should get some royalty from them using your names right?

Glad your Mommy liked the flower pictures. If it's not gonna snow the Mommy said she is ready for Spring.

Love ya lots....Mona

Hi Maggie and Mitch! I think there should be a rule that all hostess gifts to households that have dogs should be doggie treats and toys!!!!

I didn't know if you guys would have time to post about the Celebration of Life party since I figured you be up til all hours of the night. Looks like everyone knows about your dad's sweet tooth. And, I'm glad your mama took really good care of you and brought you snacks.

Yea that Miss Kate actually got to spend some time with you and your parents. I bet she loved getting to see you two again! Did you send some of your love with her for Putter?

Goober love & smooches,
