True Colors Thursday - Rust

It's true colors Thursday once again! If you are so inclined to play along, leave Blue a comment on her blog! It's that simple! This weeks color is rust!

TOUCHDOWN!!!! I caught my rust football!
An Airedale tile that mom uses as a hot plate!
I'm an autumn girl decked out in lots of rust-colored leaves! This rust grate is right in front of the porch that leads up to our back door! Mom took the picture way back when there was still snow on the ground! This is actually a heating grate that came out of an old church and dad bought it at an antique shop on one of his Maine trips! We wipe our feet on it!Another snowy picture! This rust Schnauzer lives in our flower garden! This rust gingerbreadman hangs on our Christmas tree!
Next weeks color is RAINBOW!

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

Momma was thinking that if we did a 'Rust' post from stuff at our house... she'd just have to pull out all of our old rusty pots and pans. :)

  9. Great finds!!

We particularly like the contrast between rust and airedale -- which under some light might be called rust-colored.

But there ain't nothing rusty about you two!!

  15. Hi M & M....
I have missed you both more than you will ever know. Too much happin' at my house. Can I run away to yours? You never get neglected like I do. Even poor Pilar has lost weight and got neglected.....shameful isn't it.

We love all your rust colors. We are going to head to Blues tomorrow and let her know we are still alive and want to play.

This is Willow signing out from the compound for all of us.

  18. Ciao M&M!

Great eye for finding those rust treasures, miei amici! La mia ragazza loves the Airedale hot plate, and, like our pals from Rocky Creek Scotties commented, your garden dog (is his name Rusty by any chance?? Giggle!) reminds her of my Scottie sorella (plbbbllll!!!) from another decade.

    Eccellente work, M&M!!

    Tanti baci!

  24. Oh Autumn...sorry it took us till today to get here...Mumsie has a COLD...and has been very cranky and stingy with the puter, and well um Clacie and I are grounded for well

getting the Wheelie girls totally smashed.....

Everydog shrank so well...that Clacie is full of ideas, isn't she? I woulda never have thought of the Shrink Me smoothie mixture....Drink Me, maybe, but not shrink me...wonder why I didn't shrink...actually, the boyz were sayin' my butt is actually bigger. They only said that once. Good choice.

Your dollhouse is the best ever...the wheelies may just move in for good!!!!!

I think Myrna enjoyed herself...she's gonna be estatic at the wedding....

  27. Some bloggers that we didn't know, BabyRocketDogandHootie, signed our guest book and thought we'd better contact you right away. If you haven't been there or don't know babyRocketDog and Hootie then you really have to go to their blog and see if you notice the same thing that we noticed:

Next, reality check Our dad was in the Navy and he sez he knows all about rust and it's thing called ferric oxide and since it isn't on the wrapper of a loaf of Wonder Bread (hopefully), rust doesn't count as a "true color."
