Christmas Pressies

We had a wonderful Christmas yesterday! Our sissy and her husband, Jim, spent the day with us and ate with us and we all watched a movie together. We were all phat and happy!

Look what Santa brought us!
It's a treat machine like the one Sunshade and Jaffa have only mom says that we're not as smart as Sunshade is because we didn't master this treat machine in record time like she did!
Jim spent quite awhile doing the paw thing with us and mom has spent lots of time with us too but we're still not there!

I'm trying to figure out how to get the food out of there with less effort than hitting the bone lever with my paw!

Do you think if we stare at the treat machine long enough the food will just fall out, Maggie? Help me stare it down, okay?
Mom says practice makes perfect so we'll be practicing and hopefully one day soon we can tell you that we're both masters of the treat machine!

We also both got new antler chews for Christmas!
We both love these things and we gnaw on them for hours without getting bored! Mom loves them because they don't make a mess and they don't smell!
One of the gifts that Missy and Jim gave us was Christmas Henrietta! She's a chicken in combat boots and some pretty sassy undies! She makes the funniest noise and every time one of us grabs her and races through the house, mom and dad both break into gales of laughter! Check out Henrietta clucking away! It sounds like she's crying for help, doesn't it?!

We got a couple more gifts that we'll have to show you next time............

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

  1. Merry Christmas M&M!

I got to go with Mom to Christmas dinner at our good friends house. They have FOUR dogs so you can imagine it was treats and toys galore. Their 90-lb Akita got a HUGE Henrietta that's about 2 1/2 feet tall! It was hilarious. I tried to nibble the chicken's lips but Dolce pulled her away from me by her feet. I think she weighed more than me!

    Glad you had such fun!

Wowee what a cool treat machine. How cool is that? My moms have never seen anything like that- gee- do we live in the dark ages or something?
I would like to try my paw at it. I bet it won't be long and you will have it mastered. I have never had an antler to chew on. I wonder if it is as good as a bear toenail?
I love your Christmas prezzies especailly if something makes noise- I am all for it!
    Happy Holidays

  7. If those antlers can survive your Dale jaws maybe they would be good for me too. I am going to try some.

Love the chicken. Was that miss maggie I heard yelling in the background?

  21. That treat dispense is great - we need one of those here. And we have a couple of other chickens like Henrietta. The little kidlets here love to squeak them and drive the big bipeds crazy with the noise. You got some great gifts.

  24. Looks like Santa was good to you guys. Bailey says to grab that machine by the bone, shake it a few times, then sling it at the wall and watch those treats come falling out.

  28. Oh Maggie, I'm blushing so hard here from your compliments... Seriously, I'm like more red than mum's face after she drinks half a class of champagne - she's a super cheap and boring drunk. She just falls asleep, doesn't do anything crazy or funny!

I actually think you're smarter, you know what to do, but you're just taking your time. I will be doing that next time because mum has replaced the yummy kibbles with NUTS and CEREALS can you believe it?? She says I paw to fast and I'll get too fattt if I keep eating kibbles! HMMMPH!

I got one of those Henrietta chicken too except he's a yellow Henry and he's super annoying that makes me go hump. I think I showed you the video before right?

ps. those gingerbread cookies looked so good!! Did your mum cut them by hand??? She's so talented!

    Love nibbles,
    Miss Sunshade

That treat thing sounds like a lot of work...Hmmm...maybe teach the hoomans to hit the lever with their paws.

  31. Wow! We saw that treat machine on Sunshade's blog, too and she was kind enough to send us a link to one of the suppliers that ships to Australia. So all paws crossed it will be here for Inky's birthday (Feb)... Let us know if you work out the secret trick how to use it!
