Two Packages in One Day

We hit it big time a couple of days ago! The mailman brought us two packages to open at once! The first package was addressed to dad and it was from Putter's mom but we knew that there was something in there for us because Putter squealed and told us that there was!

Putter is always writing to me and telling me that her very generous cutest ever twinsie boys feed her graham crackers and we have never had graham crackers before! So when the box came we already knew what was inside!
Hurry up and open a package so we can try them, mom!
OMG, Putter - you're not kidding! These cookies are a wonderful invention! What do you think, Mitch? Can we have another one please, mom?!
What a super duper treat, Putter! Thank you so very much for introducing us to another wonderful snackie - graham crackers!

The second package that came was actually a gift for Mitch from mom! A couple of weeks ago Mitch's leash clip broke and fortunately we had just come home from walkies and he was inside the house when it happened! WHEW!

Mom loves the work that Rick at Master's Pride does! We both have collars that he has made for us. Mitch wears his 90% of the time and I used to wear mine more often but I like to change my wardrobe more frequently now! Hey, I'm a girl - you understand, right?!

Anyway, Mitch was very happy to shove his nose in the manilla envelope to see if there was anything edible in there! Nope, not this time, Mitch!

It looks beautiful with your collar, Mitch! All we need to do now it to go for a walkie and try it out!

The leash clip is brass and matches Mitch's collar to perfection! Mitch says he can taste the quality! We also got the shoe award from our dear friend, Blue! It's a special magical 'fairy tale' slipper bestowed on those who bring a little 'magic' into our lives via their blogs creativity! Thank you so very much for honoring us with this fabulous award, Blue!

We are going to pass the award onto Butchy and Snickers because their mom does such fabulous magic with her needle and thread. We are also going to pass the award onto Ike because he came up with very creative and magical ideas to keep Tanner entertained during his visit! And we have to pass the award onto Snowball because her Jie Jie is just too talented with her magical paintbrush! And there is no way that we can't pass this award onto Miss Lacie! Can you think of another Terrier, or dog for that matter, that is more creative and magical than she is?! And last, but not least, we are awarding Miss Penny because tomorrow is her magical 10th birthday! Whoooooohooooo, Penny! Happy birthday, girlfren! We hope you have the best day ever with lots of treats and ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

This shoe definitely fits all of you!

So until next time..................

Love ya lots,

Wheelie Wednesday - The Stencil

Hi everybody! It's me - Autumn!I can finally report that the guestroom has been painted antique white and mom and I have worked very hard on the stencil and at last it's completed!

We're sorry to say that it's not an Airedale stencil! We really did consider it and we even went as far as to draw it out and cut it out and we even tried it out with stencil paint inside the chimney cupboard but mom said it looked yucky and unprofessional and she painted right over all that hard work! Maggie and Mitch were pretty upset to hear this bit of news! OOPS! Sorry, guys!

This is the stencil that mom used. Don't tell anyone but mom swiped this idea off the internet and cut her own stencil!
We liked the idea of an Autumn theme (my mom is so smart) with oak leaves and acorns and berries so that's what we did! This particular stencil requires several different stencil paint colors so you have to stencil one color at a time, wait for it to dry and go around the room again and again until all of your colors are on the wall! It's tedious but well worth your efforts!

We started with the green leaves. And then we added red to a portion of the oak leaves and then came around again and this time we added gold to the same leaves!
This is the completed stencil! You can see that we added the brown branch and red berries!
Mom has also been stripping woodwork and those are just about done too!

You can see also see the trim color we decided on around the doors and the firebox! We have pretty much finished all that we can do in the bedroom for now and we're out in the workshop helping dad prepare the floors. The floors are an incredible amount of work and we're hoping to have them down in a month or so!

Mom can't wait to move the furniture back in and invite our first guest! Who wants to be first?!

See you all next Wednesday!

Love, Autumn

Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad

Today is our mom and dad's 36th wedding anniversary! We told you they were as old as the hills!

Mitch and I wish that we could have been at their wedding but we weren't even born yet - heck, neither were our fur moms and dads! It's sure fun looking at all of their wedding photos though! They both look so much younger! Here's a tintype of the happy couple! They were both just teenagers when they said, "I do!"

Mitch and I have decided to take them out to City Fish for fish-n-chips and for dessert - ice cream! That's a good plan, don't you think?

Mom and dad honeymooned in New Orleans one week before Mardi Gras! They should have planned it better! It would have been so much more exciting if they could have waited just one more week! Mom and dad have never been to mardi gras but mom's brother has been many times and he sent us beads that they toss off the floats at the parades!

Mitch is trying figure how how to get these mardi gras beads over his head! What a goof!

Happy Mardi Gras to all of you and happy anniversary to our mom and dad!

So until next time..................

Gee Thanks!

So many of you have been getting baths lately and mom got it in her head that I needed one too because she says it's been wayyyyyyyy too long! Thanks a bunch, guys!

Here I am all squeaky clean and wet! It feels yucky! Can you tell how happy I am?!

An hour has passed and mom says that it's now time to pick out the collar that I want to wear! These are my choices! We have a whole drawer full of collars!
Hummmmmmmmmm, I just can't decided, mom! This Nantucket collar seems nice but we have MONTHS to go before we head to Hyannis to catch the ferry that takes us to Nantucket!
Maybe I might like one of these still in the drawer that you didn't lay out for me to choose from!

I've made my decision! My M&M collar! I just love this collar! It's such fun!Wait till Mitch finds out that he's next in line for a bath! hehehehe

So until next time..............

Love ya lots,

Maggie

True Colors Thursday - Blue

Yippppppeeeeeeeee, it's True Colors Thursday and todays special color is blue just like our hostess, Blue! If you've never played, you're missing out! It's really fun! This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago on one of our walkies! I'm sporting my blue snowman bandana! This is a print in our hydrangea-themed bathroom! The print is by a lady named Maureen Burbick! Mom bought the print on Nantucket one year that we were there!I wonder if Mitch has a job interview?! He sure is dressed up! When will this boy ever learn to share?!Mom wears this blue hat every single day on our morning walkies! We have one more picture to post and this is a very special one! We love this beautiful blue sky! Our very good Aire-friend, Bogie is very sad because his dad is in the hospital critically ill and he needs our love and healing vibes! Please head over to Bogie's blog and give him and his mom some encouraging words to get them through this stressful time! Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your mom and dad, Bogie! We love you guys!
Next week's color is brown!

See you next Thursday!

Wheelie Wednesday - My New Dale Purse

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!Remember this picture of this brown blob on the orange needlefelting sponge? Mom and I hooted over so many of your guesses! Some were very creative and others were just down-right funny! Only one of you guessed the correct answer and it was Gussie! He was right! Mom's gift to me was my very own Airedale purse!I think it's just perfect! It's truly ME, don't you think?! Now I need somewhere special to go so I can show it off! Maybe I can ride along with mom next time she runs errands?!

See you all next Wednesday!

The Heart Pawty

The celebration of life pawty on Valentine's day went well! Mom kept her word and checked on us many times during the evening and each time she did we got a potato chip and the next time a cookie and pizza crusts and cheese! Mitch was loose in the house with me the whole time! Mom didn't make him stay in his bedroom and he was a good boy - he didn't do one thing wrong! Can you picture the halo over his head?!

One of mom and dad's friends brought a Valentine goodie bag! There were 2 heart lei's in it~And a heart shaped container of M&M treats! Mitch and I think that Rebecca had us in mind but mom said no chocolate for us! Mom is grumpy because she didn't get enough sleep! There was even a heart-shaped Pez dispenser and pez candy! That's not chocolate! Can we have some of that, mom? There were even lucky lovers message dice in the goodie bag! Each side of one of the die has a message on it like "kiss my" or "tickle my" and the other die had messages that say "face" or "chest" or "paws"! It sounds like a very strange game to us and not fun at all! Look what one of the guest brought dad! It's fudge! ummmmmmmmmmm Grumpy mom says we can't have any of that either!Look what my sissy and her hubby brought! They are ribbon-shaped white chocolate candies! We can't believe she could be so mean as to bring something that we can't have! They're so pretty and they smell so yummy! There were 2 huge baskets of them! Gosh, mom - they're not even brown like chocolate is! Don't you think this variety is the safe kind of chocolate?!
Now you're talkin'! Melon chunks wrapped in prosciutto! Thanks, mom!
We are so happy that Putter's mom came to the pawty and stayed overnight with us and even went on our morning walkie with us! Come back anytime, Miss Kate! You are lots of fun to be with!

So until next time...............

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

Happy Valentine's Day

Guess where dad and mom took us for an early Valentine's day?Mom got a swirling cup with a cone topper and she shared her cone with me! I had to promise to avoid any ice cream that resembled chocolate! I promise mom! Can you see my teefies biting into this lucious ice cream?!We got to lick the cup clean!

Save some for me too, Maggie!

Isn't it the best, Mitch?!

Thanks mom and dad! That was fun!

We got a Valentine in the mail a few days ago from Addie and Lucie! Thank you very much! You guys are so thoughtful! And we also got an e-Valentine card from Verdi and Gaucho! Thank you very much! You guys are just too sweet!

We also got a third e-Valentine from Princess Coco! Thank you so much, Coco! We need to start visiting your blog more often and get to know you better!
And early this morning we got two more e-Valentines - one from Butchy and Snickers and their kitty brothers and sissies and one from Aki and Poopi! Thank you all so much! We love you all!

Today is dad's annual celebration of life pawty in our big barn! There are about 80 people invited and there will be LOTS of food and drink and guess who is NOT invited? Yup, you guessed it! US! But mom has promised to check on us throughout the evening and to sneak us pizza crusts and cheese cubes and anything else that she thinks that we'd enjoy!

And guess who will be coming to the pawty? Putter's mom! Isn't that so cool - only Putter won't be coming with her - she'll be staying home and performing her nanny duties while her mom gets time off for good behavior! We'll have to make sure that she takes a HUGE doggie bag home to Putter so she feels like she was a part of the pawty too!

Happy Valentine's day to all of you!

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch
