Twinsie Tuesday

Mom and I went out to the mailbox yesterday after dindin and there was a package for me!  It was from my one of my very best friends, Miss Sunshade!
Mom and I have always admired her beautiful beaded collar.
I now have one of my very own!  Thank you so very much, Sunshade and Elaine!  You guys are much too thoughtful and generous!
What we didn't know was that this is a very special collar.  The stones on my collar are healing stones and this beautiful collar is made especially for me.  Sunshade had to tell the collar maker my birthday and also my health problems so that they could choose the stones accordingly.  The maker also wanted to know my personality - how sweet I am and how much my mom and I love each other and how I live with a stingy over-the-top Airebrother!  hehehe

What a fabulous and gorgeous gift, Sunshade and Elaine!  Mom and I will treasure my beautiful collar forever!

I think this makes us twinsies and best forever friends forever and ever, Sunshade!
Thank you again and again.
We love you guys!

Miss Maggie

The Blizzard of 2010

It started snowing at our house yesterday just before noon and by dinnertime the winds were really whipping up a storm!  All night long the snow fell and the winds blew - so much so that we honestly thought the windows were going to blow right into our house and land on top of us!  This morning it was still snowing and still whipping away!

This is the front of our house. You can see just by the louvers on the shutters how whippy it really was!
Dad says we got about 16 inches.  In some parts of our yard, the snow is up to our tummies and in other parts of the yard, we can see the grass - makes it easier to do business, right?
Dauby and the duckies deserve a medal for what they had to put up with in the last 24 hours!
But is white and it's cold and it's just beautiful!

It's a very heavy snow and it packs up in our feet and we both lift up our paws so that mom can brush it away.
Time to go back inside and warm up, Mitch.
We'll come out again later!

So until next time..............

Love ya lots

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all of our friends!
Yesterday I helped mom bake cookies - Airedale cookies!

It's a gingerbread cookie in the perfect Airedale shape!
I get to have the first taste seeing as I helped, Mitch.

I get the head and you get the tail!

We hope Santa was good to all of you and that you all get a Christmas cookie or two!

                          Merry Christmas!!!

Love ya lots,

My Christmas Pressie from Mistaya

Just like Mitch did, I wore mom down until she let me open my pressie a couple of days early. We both joined in Jazzi's gift exchange fun this year.

My gifts are from my new friend, Mistaya, who lives in Washington state.
I can tell you that she sure knows how to shop!  Check out my new pretty pink bracelet!
Mom let me open my package while Mitch was out in the workshop with dad.  This way I could take my time opening and enjoy MY gifts before they were wisked off by my over-enthusiatic stingy brother!
He's back and has claimed everything for himself!
Mistaya even included beautiful shells and sand dollars from the Pacific Ocean for mom!  These are just beautiful!  Did you find them on your beach, Mistaya?
What a fabulous gift and one we will treasure forever!
Thank you so very  much for all of the wonderful gifts that you sent!  They are very much appreciated!  Merry Christmas to you and your mom, Mistaya!

So until next time..................

Love ya lots,

Blue's Colored Thursday - Gold and a Sad Good-by

We are just devastated to learn of the passing of our dear sweet friend, Opy.    We have known her for 4 years and for those 4 years she always portrayed herself as gruff.    Well, you didn't fool us for a second, Opy - we always knew that underneath that gruff exterior you had a heart of gold and you were the sweetest girl ever and a wonderfully loving friend to both angel Charlie and Benson and to your mom and dad.
Run free sweet girl.  We will never forget you.

This week's color was our choice because it's Christmas week.   If you want to play along, just click here.

We chose gold - shiny gold as in picture frames. We thought it might be fun to post old photos in gold frames!

This is our mom when she was a little bit younger~

And this would be our great grandmother in the first two gold frames and the third frame would be our gramp when he was a baby.   awwwwwwwwwwww

Hey, that's me - Miss Maggie
And this would be our sissy when she was in elementary school~
And this gold frame holds our sissy on her wedding day with mom and dad.
The youngest boy in this picture is our dad!  Isn't he super cute?  The other two hoomans are his sissy and brother.
And this would be our dad on Nantucket standing in front of the Bartlett truck!  The back of the truck is full of the most beautiful flowers and it's a picture that we take every year on our summer vacation!
Next week's colors are red and green together!

So until next time..............

Wheelie Wednesday - It's Finished

Hi everyone!  It's Autumn and Francesca today!
Guess what?  The lapblankie is all done!
Mom put the green edging on it just days ago so it's officially done!  There are 64 granny squares in all and mom says that it was so much fun learning how to crochet and ending up with a pretty blankie!
Maggie thinks so too!

And look at the cute purse that mom made me!  It's just my size and it matches my scarf!
Thanks, mom!  It's just the right size for my M&M lipstick!

See you all next Wednesday.

Love,
Autumn and Francesca

Mitch's Christmas Pressie from Mollie Jo and Bobo

We participated in Jazzi's Christmas pressie exchange this year and Mitch's gift from Mollie Jo and Bobo arrived a couple of weeks ago.    Mom told us that we had to wait until Christmas to open it but seeing as everyone else is opening their pressies early, we thought that if we pestered mom long enough, see'd give in!
It worked!

I'm not going to even ask you to share, Mitch, because I know the answer already!
They obviously meant for the Nilla Wafers to be for me, ya know!
 Gormet cookies!  yummmmmmmmmm
How pretty!  I'll have one too if you don't mind, Mitch!
Thank you so very much for all of the wonderful goodies guys!
Mom loves the nifty poopoo bag dispenser! What a great invention this is!

You have made our Christmas even more special!
So until next time.................

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Lots of Airedales

Do you think we have enough yet?

Mom thought of stenciling on the curtains but she thinks it may be overdoing it!
We told her that there's no way you can overdo Airedales, right?!

So until next time...............

Who Thinks This is Funny

This is not funny, mom!
Love ya lots,

Maggie  -  who wishes that Mitch wasn't in the workshop with dad and it might be him in this stoopid picture instead of me!

Blue's Colored Thursday - Cherry

Today's color is cherry!  If you want to play along, just click here.

This Annalee elf must be on a mission at Santa's request!  He is wearing a cherry colored hat!
Santa must be getting Rudolph in shape for their ride on Christmas eve!   Love that cherry nose, Rudolph!
These Annalee's all belong to gram. Mom snagged the pictures while she was in Florida!
Gram has lots of pretty cherry things!
This is the best picture of all.  Real cherries!   Yummmmmmmmm
Next week's color is our choice!  hummmmmmm, we've got to think on this one.

So until next time..............

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
