The Celebration of Life Pawty

Last night was mom and dad's celebration of life pawty! It started around 3:30PM and mom and dad didn't climb into bed until 11:30PM! This is late for them and for us!

As you know,we've been supervising the clean-up of dad's workshop all week long and Mitch even helped with the making of the Manhattan clam chowder and the chicken soup and I helped with the chicken appetizers and were we invited to the pawty?
NO! We ask you - how fAire is this?

Mom said guests brought appetizers or desserts or spirits and there was enough food to feed an entire country and were we invited? NO!

Dad ordered 10 pizzas and at the end of the night only 2 pieces remained - one for me and one for Mitch and did we get our fAire share? NO!
Check out the heart of the barn cake that one of the talented guests made!
We got a heads-up that this blueberry pie made it into our kitchen late last night along with an apple pie! Our tongues are ready and waiting! Just look at these luscious desserts! yummmmmmAmy is famous for her cheesecake and yup, mom got a nice BIG piece of it! And did she even think of bringing a smidge of it into the house for two starving pups? NOPE!
Kris brought mom a beautiful quilted square that she made! Mom just loves the colors!
And Jan brought her beautiful flowers on such a cold night! Thank you, Jan!

Guess what? We didn't get any of that snowstorm that Lacie, Stan and Scruffy and so many of our other friends got! Not even one flake!
The musicians played and they sounded awesome!
Don't they sound great?!

Mom and dad said they had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and their friends are the best! Maybe there's hope for us to be able to attend next year. We can hope, right?!

So until next time...............

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

Wow! What a great looking bunch of foodables! We think your pawrents' Celebration of Life pawty is WONDERFUL! And it's even more wonderful that your dad is here to celebrate! Maybe, if you start begging NOW, they will let you attend next year!

BTW, we are hoping you aren't anywhere near Middletown, CT! Those poor peoples!

Wow, what yummy foods. I am getting hungry just looking at the foodibles. I think Mitch should start begging now, and you Maggie should start suggesting Mommy make kidney diet friendly foods for the party;then, you Maggie, should beg like there is no tomorrow for those foods. The one thing I learned from Mack's Kidney issues is that diet is the key to battling this disease.

Did you get to help with the cleanup and the hoovering of crumbs? Maybe help with carrying out the garbage or assit with the disposal unit? How about dishwashing? Were you able to sneak a lick when they stacked the dishwasher?

Sniffin flowers is fine, but eatin pizza is much better!

Happy celebration of life!

We would have loved to celebrate life with you and your pack. You know...Ms. Alpha is a cancer survivor and I think she lives life in 5th gear all the time. Talk about celebrating!!! Getting me as a puppy was proof of that.

I've got about a million snowballs waiting down here in MD. It's so much fun. The snow is so deep that a plow broke down in our neighborhood. That means no cars and dogs running free!!!

Yippeeee,
Fenway
