Wheelie Wednesday - The June Garden

Hi everyone!  It's me, Autumn!

This pretty yellow Evening Primrose is blooming in  my garden!   Yellow is such a cheerful color, don't you think?

And the Baptisia Australis or Blue False Indigo is in  bloom!  This plant has the neatest seed pods when the blue flowers are gone.  The pods look sort of like sugar snap peas!
And mom's favorite - the poppy -  and this one just happens to be salmon!  A few of the lupines are still blooming but many of them are on their way out!
This is Connecticut's state flower - the beautiful Mountain Laurel!  This one just happens to be a wild one that someone dug out of their yard and gave to us.
This one is a cultivated one that mom bought at Broken Arrow Nursery a few years ago.   This nursery specializes in Mountain Laurel and it's such a treat to visit and see them all in bloom at the same time!
Guess what?  I got to sit on Uncle Mike's Indian Chief!  I wonder if he'll take me for a ride on it!
What time shall we swing by and pick you up?!
See you all next Wednesday!

Love,    Autumn

  15. Hi Autumn,
If you text us before you set off we will be ready to go for a ride on the bike!
What fun - we may need to wear a helmet as our ears will be all over the place.
Your blog background is cheery - we like it.
The garden is looking lovely - the Mountain Laurel is just lovely we have never seen that.
Sad about the Lupines but there is always next year - isn't it a pity that some flowers have a relatively short floweing period.
    love and kisses

  32. What an amazingly beautiful garden. It's almost too pretty to be believable. You should be published in gardening magazines. Or publish one yourself.
