True Colors Thursday - Saffron

We are just devastated to hear the horribly sad news about our friend, Dre!   Please stop by his blog if you can.  This was an accident that should have never happened to our sweet friend.
RIP, Dre. We will never forget you!

And our Airedale buddy, Kodiak, crossed the bridge yesterday.  He was 12 years old.  His mom and our mom have been friends forever!

We hope that Kodiak and Dre have found each other at the Bridge and are hanging out together.  Our hearts go out to both families.

Today's color is saffron!
We have a new link for True Colours Thursday.  Please check it out!  Thanks, Doyle and Mollie.
Yoooooohoooooooo, Blue, where are you?

Mom did not plant this saffron calendula - she planted herself!
When mom was cutting grass yesterday, she spotted these saffron black-eyed Susan's in our neighbor's yard. She grabbed her camera and snagged the picture of these beauties!
We were out in the vege garden checking to see if  we had a ripe red tomato yet!  NOPE - but we did get a couple pictures of these huge saffron sunflowers!
We're cheating here!  We know this butterfly is truly not saffron but he was just so gorgeous that we couldn't help ourselves!
Aunt Carol gave mom this saffron colored mini-stocking!

What about these saffron  apples with stars!

Next weeks' color is sage!

So until next time................

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

  8. We went to Dr. Dre yesterday to express our condolences. What a tragedy that broke our hearts whenever we think of it.
And we're very sorry to hear about Kodiak passing the Rainbow bridge.
This summer is too hot, the sunflowers seem to have a darker shade of shaffron.
    Cheers!
