Blue's Colored Thursday - Aubergine

Today's color is aubergine!  If you want to play along with us,  head over to this link and you're in!
We thought that aubergine was a most challenging color to find.
This was the easiest pick to find - a real honest to goodness eggplant!
But we do think that this glass of wine comes pretty close to aubergine!
And what about this bunch of wild grapes all twisted up with the hemlock hedges~
How about this ball of wool yarn?  This could be aubergine too, right?
We have Pokeweed growing in places that it shouldn't be growing in!  UGH!
We think this butterfly bush flower is a great aubergine choice too!
Hey, that's MY aubergine-colored purse, Mitch!
Next week's color is aquamarine!

So until next time..................

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

  2. What a great job - we didn't even know what aubergine looked like. And we don't think we have anything that color except some poke growing near the garden!! And it's too rainy to go photograph it.

  3. Good job!
Your Pokeweed berries [new to me - just love the element of discovering/seeing something different] look not dis-similar in colour to my Elderberries.

Forgot in my post to mention that an Aubergine is an Eggplant in North America!
And we - Doyle & Molly, you & I all seem to agree about the wine :)

  20. That is a tough color, but we think you did very well. We just learned from Mollie and Doyle's post that an eggplant is an aubergine - never knew that.

Now do tell what is Mitch doing with a purse - BOL?

  34. Good evening M & M
It is autumn of the harvest.
The eggplant is very delicious at the season of the future.
There is a maxim of Japan "Do not allow the bride to eat the eggplant in autumn".
Because the meaning is delicious, it pats it ..eating... (^o^)v

Going out is the enjoyment on a wonderful weekend. ♡
