Mom Is Off

Our mom heads to Florida tomorrow to visit with gram and gramp.  She gets to have an early breakie at home with us and lunch with her mom and she thinks that's pretty cool!
We'd like to say that she's abandoning us but she's been cooking her butt off to make it easier on our dad.
The directions are all written out and both my supplements and dad's pills are in their pill containers to  make it less stressful on our dad.

The cookie jar is stocked with kidney-sparing treats!
Extra glutinous rice has been made~

I eat hard boiled eggs every single day so mom made tons of those.  All of those little H's mean that they are hard boiled and not raw.
Aunt Fern and Bambi gave us a great idea to mix tomato sauce in with the glutinous rice and with the pasta so it would freeze and thaw more easily and hopefully stay creamy and more yummy.

 More beef is being made!
This has been a lot of work for mom but she says I'm worth it and she wants to make it as easy as possible on dad.  She wants to come home and find me well-fed and happy, just the way she's leaving me.
The freezer is stocked!  Now all dad has to do is remember to defrost a container when I need it!

Good thinkin' to buy 3 half gallons of ice cream, mom!  I got dibbs on the GingerSnap, Mitch!

Mom is going to miss our crazy antics while she prepares our breakie and dindin!
We do love to scootch around until our meals are ready to be served!

I'll miss you, mom!   I promise to take good care of dad and Mitch while you're gone.  Hurry home!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Our 4th Blogoversary

We have been blogging for 4 years!  And it's all thanks to Elaine and Sunshade!   If it wouldn't have been for them, we probably still wouldn't be blogging!

This was my very first blog post - just a picture of me in my Easter bandana.
And now I'm on the cover of Miss Barbara's book!  The bandana got changed a little.
On November 24th, 2006, Mitch was born and 4 days later it's our 4th blogoversary and 4 years ago, we had no knowlege of who Mitch was.
He didn't come into our lives for another 4 months yet!   Too many fours!  We're thinkin' we need to play lotto!

Thank you to all of our friends who read our blog and follow along with us on all of our crazy foodie adventures!  We love every single one of you and we are so very thankful to have you in our lives!

Popsicles for everyone who stops by today!

Love ya lots,

The WFT Wellibobs

Way back in mid-September, mom ordered a pair of wellibobs for herself.
She loves when Asta's mommi is sporting hers on Asta's blog and she loves seeing Jake and Fergie's mom wearing hers on their blog.
The welli's came in record time - only they were 2 sizes too large   :-(
So mom mailed them back for an exchange.
She has gotten to be good friends with a man named Richard at Joules who assured her that her new and the correct size wellibobs were on the way. This was after 2 months of no wellibobs and many emails going back and forth!
We waited and waited and waited.
On Mitch's birthday, mom's wellibobs arrived!  yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
This is definitely cause for celebration after this long wait!

Mom is in love with her new wellis!  Can you see the cute little Wire Fox Terriers on her boots?
These boots have a furry lining and they are very warm and very comfy!
 Enough already, mom!
When can we go for a walk so you can try out your new welli's OUTSIDE!
Just to let you know - mom kept those wellis on all day long both inside and outside.  I think she's in love!

We did watch the movie Hachi last night after our turkey dindin and yes, it was sad but it was a WONDERFUL movie and a true story!  On a scale of one to 10 - we give it an eleven!
We can't wait to watch it again!

So until next time...............

Blue's Colored Thursday - Peridot

If you want to play along, just click here!  It's fun!

Today's color is peridot!   Peridot is the birthstone for August!

Our friend, Holly has a beautiful color with peridot stones on it!

We snagged this picture a couple of weeks ago in our freak brief snowfall that only lasted till the end of the day.  booooooooooooo

This peridot moss is on a rock that's along my daily walkie.

We read that peridot colors range from yellow, to yellow-green to olive-green and brownish. That's a big range!
A weed that never got removed from our patio and now never will!
This necklace belonged to mom's great grandmother.
Next week's color is salmon!

Today is our very good friend, Sunshade's 11th birthday!
We hope you get a large-sized ice cream cone all your own, Sunshade!  Have a wonderful birthday!  There isn't a day that goes by that we don't think of you and your mom and Jaffa and D-guy.  We are pullin' for ya BIGTIME!  We love you!
This is the movie we'll be watching after our Thanksgiving dindin today~
Dad has seen it already and had to own it so today we get to see it for the very first time along with mom!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends!
By the way, we already broke into the pumpkin pie with a gingersnap crust!  It is VERY yummy!
So until next time..............

My 4th Birthday

Hi guys - it's me, Mitchy, and today is my 4th birthday!
Maggie and I have decided to start my birthday pawty early today so we can pawty all day long!

Mom made me a very special birthday cake and we had to use ingredients that Maggie can have that will keep her kidneys safe so my cake is vanilla wafers and we both have popsicles instead of ice cream and our whipped cream is yogurt and we have bone and heart candles for the topper!

Let the pawty begin!
Maggie dish kept moving away from her and she was getting frustrated so mom to the rescue!

I can help you out too, Maggie - not a problem!
This is my birthday bone pressie.  I'm going to spend a moment in the sun because it feels so good and then I'm off to play!

I sure do love birthdays!

Thanks for peekin' in!

We love the Christmas card, Putter!
It's just perfect!

We think you can bigify to read the inside~

Is this too cool or what?
OMG, we LOVE it, Putter!  It's awesome!
It's painted from this photo~
We are on Nantucket and we're waiting for dad to come out of Something Natural, our favorite spot to eat, with dindin!
Nantucket is our favorite place on earth so your wonderful Christmas pressie means even more to us, Putter!

Thank you so very, very much!  We need to find the most perfect spot for this inside our house so it lasts forever and ever!  No way are we hanging it outside!
We love you, Putter, and we love your mom and dad and your cutest ever twinsies too.  This was a wonderful surprise for us!

Love,
Maggie and Mitch

Wheelie Wednesday - A New Hat and Lots of AireZen

Hi everyone.  It's me, Francesca!

You've all seen this granny square scarf that mom made a few months ago.   I liked it so much that she told me that I could have it for my very own!
I needed a winter hat to go with my new scarf and seeing as purple is my favorite color, mom made me a purple flower hat.  Isn't it pretty?

I think Maggie likes it too so we plopped it on her head.  Doesn't she look pretty, Mitch?

You look kinda French with the hat on your head, Mitch!  I'm not sure that Maggie approves!

Please cross your paws and send positive thoughts for Miss Sunshade today.  She is having surgery to remove a cancerous growth.  Her mum could use a prayer too.   We love you guys!

Friends forever,
Francesca
