My New Collar

Hi everyone!  It's me, Mitch!
Dad has an Amish friend and his name is Tim and he made me this beautiful tan leather collar with turquoise stones in it!

I'm not eating mom's pretty pink peonies. I'm just sniffing them to see it they're good enough to eat!
Mom and I have decided that we'd like to have a give-away.
Tim makes these collars in both black and tan leather and he uses turquoise stones, like I have on my collar, and he also has red, blue, green, mango, pink, and purple stones!
If you would like to participate in this give-away, leave us a comment and you will be counted. Mom and I have chosen a number from one to 100 and the doggie sitting in that spot in our comment section will win a collar handmade by Tim.   The winner can choose either a black or a tan leather and either turquoise or any color stone that we mentioned above.   We'lll be getting back to you on Friday and letting you know who wins one of these gorgeous handmade collars!

So until next time...............

Yer friend,
Mitch

GABE Winners

Remember GABE?    We feel so fortunate to have been chosen as winners in Cody, Lady, Zena and Roy's most generous GABE give-away!Cody told us that only one of us could be in the portrait  give-away because it's a self-portrait so Mitch and I had to decide which one of us Aunt Suzi was going to paint.  Because I'm the oldest and wisest and best-looking, I was chosen!

Our package arrived in the mail a few days ago.
I got a personalized note from Aunt Suzi!
What an awesome job she did!  The painting looks just like me and that's my yellow ice cream collar that I'm wearing!  Aunt Suzi is a genius!
Thank you so very much Cody, Lady, Zena and Roy and thank you, Aunt Suzi!     I love my new painting and it will have a place of honor in our home!

Mom got a new computer a couple of days ago and she is slowing getting used to it.  Mom is OLD and she doesn't like change so please bear with us!  She'll get it. It will just take her a bit longer than it takes most "normal" hoomans!

So until next time................

Love ya lots,
Maggie

Wheelie Wednesday - Peaking Garden

Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn! The garden is fabulous this week! All of the plants are beginning to bloom and there is so much color everywhere you look! The lupines are doing so well this year and there are tons of baby plants on the ground waiting to grow bigger and hopefully next year they'll bloom! Mom bought a yellow one last year hoping to have a yellow flower in the lupine mix but either the plant died or it's an off year for yellow?Hello, garden kitty! Is the catnip making you happy? I can see you smiling as you stretch out! That's the Gas Plant right in front of my nose! Mom has heard that if you light a match over the top of this plant, it will ignite. She's never tried it though. The orange Oriental poppies are blooming! whooooohooooooooo
It's our very favorite flower in the garden! What a striking color next to purple!Even Maggie and Mitch got their pictures taken in front of the garden! Turn around, Mitch! We want to see your handsome face!See you all next Wednesday!

Love,
Autumn

Day Two With Special Guests

We had such a great time on Day 1 with Noah's pinkies, Denise and Bryan, that we knew that day two had to be equally exciting or better!

Our day started with vegemite for breakie! Mom had never had it before but has had heard so much about it and couldn't wait to try it!
To mom's taste buds, it tastes like a salty beef bouillon that's the consistency of jam. It's very different from anything that she's ever had before but she liked it!
Mitch thinks it's pretty yummy too!Putter's mom, Kate, arrived just before lunch and mid-afternoon the hooman's and Mitch headed to Sleeping Giant for a hike. I didn't get to go. My early morning walkies didn't go so well and I don't like when the temps start to get warm so mom thought it best that I stay home. It was okay. Mitch and dad shared a drink of water~Mom and Kate and Denise and Bryan climbed to the top of the castle!Hey, Mitch - you look so tiny way down there! You and dad come on up!After their hike, the hooman's decided that they had so much fun at Gouveia Vineyards the night before that they were going to go again and this time Kate could experience it too. They brought Chinese take-out dinners with them and had the best time ever drinking wine and telling great stories and eating their yummy meal!Sunday morning right after breakie, dad and Bryan took me and Mitch for our 2-mile walkies while the girlz stayed home and chatted! I guess they were still tired from Saturday's hike! We have had the best time with Denise and Bryan and Kate! We feel so very fortunate that we got to meet Noah's pinkies and to get to know them a little bit better!
You guys are welcome to visit us anytime! You were awesome guests and we had so much fun!
We miss you already!

So until next time...............

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

A Visit From Noah's Pinkies

Guess what?
We got to meet flat Noah, Willow, Tess and Lucy and their pinkies! I'm nose to nose with Noah! Is this the coolest or what?!
Denise and Bryan will be staying at our house with us for 2 whole days and nights!
They brought us Aussie pressies! Mitch got a squeakie chicken and I got a duck! And you all know just what it going to happen next, right?
Yup, Mitch stole both of them for himself! He's so evil! They also brought mom a gorgeous pillow top that's Aussie made! It's so beautiful and so special!Dad had to work at Crump's, but he came home in the early afternoon and after we dogs had our dindin, the hoomans headed to the Little Italy section of New Haven for some Pepe's pizza!
And after consuming way to much pizza, they decided to walk next door and hit Libby's for Italian ice and gelatto! Why couldn't we go too, mom?And mom and dad took them to see the Crump barn project that they're working on.
How they wish Bryan and Denise could be here for the raising!

Right up the street from Crump's is Gouveia Vineyards. This is the first time that mom has ever been here too and it's practically in her own back yard!
What a relaxing way to end the day!TodayPutter's mom comes to visit and she will spend the night with us and it'll be even more fun at our house! We can't wait!

So until next time.....................

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Happy Birthday, Putter!

Today is our goodest and bestest friend Putter's 6th birthday! She is one of the best ball players we know and she's also one of the bestest big sissies we know! She's been teaching her cutest ever twinsie boys the art of baseball AND football!

We thought after all of that hard work, you might like of have a nice cold drink (non-alcoholic, of course) and a hotdog with ketchup, Putter!
Happy Birthday, Putter!!!!!!!!!!!

We hope you have a wonderfully relaxing day with a HUGE special cake that your boys whip up just for you!

We love you!

An Ice Cream Trip

We went for fish-n-chips at a new spot called the Clam Castle. It's almost across the street from Lenny and Joe's, where we usually go. Both mom and dad said that the Clam Castle was okay but that Lenny and Joe's is still much better! We really don't care where they go as long as we get a couple of French fries and maybe a tidbit of fish!

After the Clam Castle, we headed to Durham for ice cream! We didn't forget our M&M purse that Jazzi sent us and mom did remember to pack our bandanas in there! Somehow our ice cream tasted better in our pretty bandanas!Lately, my favorite part of ice cream is the cone bottom. Well, the cone was there in mom's fingers but I sorta snatched it out and with the camera's slow speed we sorta missed the cone in the picture! hahaHey, you got a bigger portion of ice cream than I did, Mitch! Thanks, dad! You aren't as stingy with the ice cream as mom is! Mom is always telling me that I'm not supposed to have ice cream anymore because of my kidneys so it's more Aire that I'm eating than ice cream!I got to lick the cup clean too! More Aire here too!
Oh well - it's the thought that counts, right?!So until next time..............

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
