Waffles

Our good friend, Kirsten, gave us a breakfast gift basket which included ground coffee, tea bags, preserves, Nutella, English muffins, pretty napkins, syrup and pancake mix!

Mom loves making pancakes for dindin (she's wierd). She's mentioned it to dad and he prefers waffles over pancakes and you can make either with this mix so waffles it will be!
 These are the pretty napkins.
Did I ever tell you about my paper fetish?   I LOVE eating napkins and paper towels and kleenex and if any of the paper goods are USED, they're even better!
Mom was trying to get a picture of me with the pretty napkin and I'm actually starting to eat it!
 yummmmmmmm
Waffles are a treat at our house!

We hope we can have waffles again soon!

Our friend, Penny crossed the bridge a few days ago and we are heartbroken for her mom and her AireSissy, Patches.   She was the sweetest girl and was very shy about having her picture taken.    We will miss you, Penny.

So until next time...............

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

  2. Mmmmmmmm! Waffles! We have 3 waffle irons and yet we never get waffles! So not fair! Our mom will only eat them with pure maple syrup! We always have some in our coolerator because my grandpa sends it from OhiO!

Thanks for your message about Penny! That white part in the picture is my mom's bathrobe! She didn't know she was in the picture too.

    Happy Labor Day!

  3. M & M!

Those waffles look yummy!! We likes them with strawberries and something Muzzer calls "Creme Fraiche" but that looks like flat whipped cream.

Muzzer and dad knew a golden retriever in the UK who liked to eat napkins and stuff like that too. We have tried them a couple of times, but have not developed a taste for them.

Waffles, pancakes... it's all good. I heard some people even put chicken and gravy on their waffles. That must be HEAVEN.... which is sad to see Penny cross the bridge. Their pack has been thru so much the last couple years. Run free Penny

  10. The waffles sound yummy -- but give us a good paper towel or kleenex any day!!

Last night we brough some well-chewed paper towel scraps to share with the folks on the sofa. "Yuch" said Mom as she picked it up to see what it was....

  31. Yes, parental Unit is very familiar with the paper fetish (particularly used) from the antics of her dear departed Carson...and I've been known to grab a napkin or two!

and i've never had a waffle, but they look scrumptious-PU is too lazy to make them, I think:-)

But we're very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend Penny-please send our condolences to her Mom.
