A Cupola Update and a Thank You

After our morning walkies, we head over to Crumpie's every single day to work on the cupola.  It's coming along nicely.
It has 3 coats of white paint on it and dad says that it still needs 2 more.
The roof has been started. This is outside looking in~
And this is inside looking out.     The white paint is still wet so once it dries, we lay the roof back down on the floor and sheathe it.
 Break time!!!

A couple of days ago, a beautiful card came in the mail from our friend, Dilly.   The card is embroidered with gorgeous flowers and the prettiest AireGirl - well, she looks like a girl to me.
And inside is the Rainbow Bridge poem.
Mom thought that the card was too beautiful not to frame.
Thank you so very much, Dilly!   Our new picture has a place of honor and we think of you every single time we look at it.  You are a wonderful friend!

Happy first day of Spring!

Love ya lots,
Mitch

  1. We were surprised you got it so fast! As soon as we saw it we knew it was Maggie. If you look at the background, there is the rainbow bridge. She is waiting for ya!

We're so glad you love it and that it made you smile, though a bit sad too, isn't it. You've made a great job of framing it!

  27. That's just plain beautiful, Mitch, both the picture and the poem. I couldn't bring myself to read the poem right now... it's a little too close to our reality but I'll be back when it's time.

We love you, Mitch. And we miss Maggie.

  28. I'm so touched by the beautiful card. We lost two dogs last week in our family. One was my niece's dog and one was my granddaughter's dog - and on the same day. We are so sad, you know what I'm talking about. Thank goodness for the Rainbow bridge poem. It really helps. Sending lots of love to you Mitch. You are awesome.
