Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween~~

We are back!  That huge branch coming down was the worst of it for us.  Our TV and telephone are still down so we haven't seen pictures of the devastation but we hear it's just horrendous.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by vicious Sandy.

Sandy Has Arrived

No - not Storm Sandy.
This Sandy!   We are naming her Sandy because she arrived early this afternoon right before Storm Sandy ramped up her winds and  pouring rain.
Our friend, Enya had a 5th birthday a couple of weeks ago and she had a give-away and we won!
Enya kissed Sandy good-by at her house in Germany.
And she arrived here today!
Sandy is a gorgeous mohair plush and she has a wiry coat just like Molly does!  Isn't she adorable!
And Enya sent us treats too!  These will keep us busy during this crazy storm.
Thank you so very very much, Enya! Sandy is just beautiful and she is making us all smile and we sure do need those smiles right now as this rain comes down in sheets sideways and the branches on the trees are blowing at the craziest angles!
Update - we just lost a huge branch on our tree right outside our computer room window. Thank doG it didn't hit our house!
Our paws are crossed for all of our friends in Storm Sandy's way!

So until next time.........

The Halloween Pawty at Crumpie's

Our dad hosted a Halloween pawty at Crumpie's yesterday for a whole lot of peeps!
We spent the morning helping him clean and then he had the nerve to tell us that we were NOT invited!

Mom made a Pizza Pasta Salad.
It's cooked onies and chopped pepperoni and cubed mozzarella and halved grape tomatoes and a chopped red pepper and a chopped green pepper and a can of small black pitted olives.  You sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of dried basil and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano and toss it with enough Italian Salad Dressing to moisten it up and you're good to go.
I'd like to say that we each got an onie but it didn't work out that way.  Sneaky Molly was lightning fast and snagged both onies before I even had a chance to even think about it.  Geez, Molly - mom needs to teach you some manners!
Mom says the pawty was a great time - very yummy foodables and so many fun costumes!
She says that first place has to go to our friend, Jason.  He was the tooth fairy~
It took mom a minute to recognize her own daughter - our sissy!   Maybe it's a good thing we stayed home!  YIKES!

So this morning we headed over to Crumpie's to clean up.  Molly was afraid of the pumpkin.  Pumpkins are harmless, Molly. Do not be afraid!
I was treated to a celery stick.
And Molly got a crinkle carrot stick.
And we had fun playing with our tennis bone while mom and dad cleaned up and loaded lots of beer and desserts into the car.
I'm sure you've all heard by now that we are most probably going to get a visit from StormSandy.    We won't have to worry about starving with all of this cake in our frig!
So until next time............

Show Us Your Treat Jar Day

Jack and Moo want us to show them our treat jar.  We can do that!
This redware treat jar on our kitchen counter holds lots of treats and every single day when we get back from our walkies, mom lifts the lid and we get our first treat of the day.

Our other treat jar is on top of the frig.   Our gram made the pumpkin and it's HUGE and can hold whole bags of treats ( pay no attention to the dust.  It's our mom's least favorite chore and she only does dusts if she knows company is coming.  shhhhhhhhhh)
We sure do love our treats!

Mom and Molly were at Agway on Wednesday buying duck food for our ducks, geese and swans and they dropped green papers in the Animal Haven fund.  No doggie or kitty should ever be without treats!

Show us and Jack and Moo your treat jar!

So until next time...........

My New BigGirl Collar

When Mitch was 6 months old, he got a brand new bigBoy collar.
I'm 7 months old and mom thought that I deserved a bigGirl collar!  It's just like Mitch's only with my name on it!
Mitch and I are kinda like twinsies now!
I love my new collar!  Thanks, mom!

Another First For Molly

Molly made her very first hike up Sleeping Giant yesterday!  I told her that she was going to have a blast and she did!
It was really hard moving along in the beginning of our hike because all she wanted to do was to sniff EVERYTHING.
We had a gorgeous autumn day!

There's the castle, Molly!   Dad says we're going to the top just for you!
So how do you like the castle, Molly?
She didn't like climbing the steep ramps in the dark narrow hallways to get to the top.  She prefers to have her feets on solid ground.
Look at the note we found on the windowsill.  You can bigify it if you want to.
We're heading back down and Molly is doing just fine on the steps.
I was sure thirsty. Weren't you, Molly?
Molly preferred to drink the water from the cooler that mom brought for us.
And I'm sure pooped after that fun climb.  You too, huh!
So what did you think of Sleeping Giant, Molly?  Do you want to go back again really soon?!
You betcha!

So until next time..........

Wentworth's Ice Cream

We were at Wentworth's for ice cream yesterday!
Dad had Kaluha HeathBar ice cream again and mom had Pumpkin Carmel Cheesecake  ice cream and we got to taste both flavors!

On the way home, we checked out our favorite Halloween house.  Every year this family decorates their entire front yard for Halloween and hoomans and cars are always stopped in the street taking pictures.
Every year it's a different theme.
Molly and I wouldn't stop barking until mom and dad pulled away from the curb.  This is much too scary for us!

So until next time...........

Our Beauty Berry

Last year in the autumn, Wyatt and Stanzie posted pictures of the Beauty Berry in their yard and mom melted.  She decided right then and there that she would own one.
She found one and it was on sale at the end of last year and mom was thrilled. It was small but it had beautiful purple berries.
This is our Beauty Berry this year~

Keep growing little Beauty Berry!  Your purple berries are so beautiful!

So until next time..........

Love ya lots,
Molly
