Twelve Inches

We got 12 inches of beautiful powdery cold snow yesterday!
Both of us got to go out and play in it but unfortunately, mom says that we would have knocked her over and dragged her through the snow if she had taken us both out together soooooooooo..........
I got to go first because I'm a girl - a spoiled girl!
And I had fun with AireSpins~
 And tuckbuttruns~
 And more AireSpins~
 And then I collapsed!
And I was on a lunge line and I couldn't bother the waterfowl but I did want to go right in that water and chase them out!
I, Miss Molly, had the bestest fun!
And I, MitchyBoy, didn't do any AireSpins or tuckbuttruns but I had fun adventuring and trying to find mice who might be confused in all of this glorious white stuffs!

Nope, I didn't find any mice or other such critters but I had a blast exploring in the snow with mom!
Please dump another 12 inches on us, SnowGods!

We want to wish all of our friends a happy and healthy and safe new year. See you in 2013!

Favorite

Guess what my most favorite activity in the whole wide world is?

I just LOVELOVELOVE to play ball!  I will play for hours and hours before I need a rest and then it's just a short rest and I'm ready to go again!
I went out to get the mail with mom and I brought my ball with me.
And I had to do peepee's and my ball came with me.
Do you want to play ball with me, Mitch?
Mitch isn't as good at playing ball as I am.  He's not as athletic and he doesn't catch as well as I do.
He's jealous that he's not as good as I am and when he gets the ball, he tries to play keep-away only I bitey his foot so he'll drop it and give it back to me!
Okay, I promise I'll be nice.  Just keep playing ball with me okay, Mitch?!
So until next time..........

The Pressie Exchange

We exchanged Christmas pressies with the Rocky Creek Scottie this year and Lilly and Piper's package arrived last Thursday.
Can you see that the shipping box is lined with Scottie gift wrap. Is that the coolest or what!
This purple bone makes the coolest noises when you shake it and it can be stuffed with treats.  We can't wait for that to happen!
They also sent a huge ball with a rope on either end so we can tug with each other.
And we got a whole box of bone cookies and a gingerbreadman stuffie!  We scored bigtime!
Whoa - these are not little bones!  You guys sure know how to shop!
And look what else they sent.
The cutest Christmas card with one of the buglets and these most awesome greeting cards and pepper jelly that Miss Lynn made and chocolate candy that evil mom won't share with us.  Can you see there is one missing? That's because mom couldn't wait 5 minutes before she popped it into her mouth!
That's our faces!  These are just the coolest cards ever!
We sorta couldn't decide who should get the gingerbreadman stuffie.
Thank you so very much for the most awesome pressies ever, Lily and Piper!  You guys are the best!

Snow for Christmas

We got the best gift of all for Christmas - SNOW!
We didn't get much but it's enough to make both of us snow nutty!
Mom asked me to "sit" for a pretty picture.   Heck no - this wet snow is cold on my butt!
She had cookies in her pocket and we never say no to cookies!  Okay, I'll sit pretty, mom.
Enough sitting - time for some fun!
Our snow is gone now but it was fun while it lasted!

So until next time.......

Cheeeesecake

Guess what's in our oven baking away?
We got to lick the beaters!
Cheeeeeeeeeeeeesecake!    It's dessert for Christmas day and it will have red cherries all over the top once it bakes and cools!
We had company come to our house last night for pizza and they came bearing Christmas gifts.
We have a new Airedale ornie on our AireTree in the kitchen!  What a perfect gift!
And Jill gave mom a beautiful redware pottery plate from Old Sturbridge village.
It looks like a chocolate cream pie with a fancy crust in this picture!
Guess who comes tonight?
Santa Claus!
We can't wait!

A very excited~

Pizzelles

Mom made pizzelles this morning for the very first time at our house in our kitchen. She's helped make them with gram before at her house in Florida but mom says that doesn't count. She was just the helper then.

Mom thinks her batter is too thick.  The directions say that you use a level tablespoon of batter and to place it in the center of the design and then close the lid of the pizzelle iron.
And of course she realized too late that you have to smush down on that handle to flatten the pizzelles and of course the last one came out half-way decent!  It was the only one.
We'll just have to practice again soon, right?!
But did I care that they didn't look perfect like the beautiful store-bought pizzelles?
Nope! It was flavorful and yummy and oh so tasty!
Nice goin', mom.  Can I please have another one?

Love ya lots,
Mitch

The Third One

We were at Crumpie's yesterday.  Believe or not, mom and dad are building a third cupola this year.  There is no way they'll finish it in 2012, but they have a good start already.
We had a great time playing while they worked.

Our friend, April, made a wreath for dad to hang outside on Crumpie's barn.  We needed to make sure that all of the greenery was it place. It was!
We sure did have a great time and we can't wait to do it again tomorrow!
So until next time............
