The Lights

We took down our Christmas trees yesterday - both of them.  The one in the family room and the one in the kitchen with all of the Airedale ornies on it.  We are going to miss the lights the most.

This year for the very first time, mom put battery operated candles in our windows.  They got taken out of the windows yesterday too and before she put them away she had this neat idea to see how they'd look lighting up our staircase.

Unlit~
 And lit~
She said she'd love to leave them there for a few days but she figures that we'd knock them over coming down the stairs in the morning.

So until next time..........

Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly

  12. Those lights look beautiful on your stairs! Mom took our lights down, too, and it seems a bit drab now. I love the thought of those candles - maybe our mom will consider putting ours somewhere!

  21. Looks beautiful!!!! But Labrador tails would knock them all down :)

We ended up not decorating *at all* this year because we were too sick to do anything Christmas-related. We have your wonderful little mitten waiting to go on a Christmas tree... but it won't be until next year. So, I took a photo of Shyla with it, and I'll be posting it sometime soon! We do love it - it's just that our Christmas got derailed by flu and pneumonia...

  22. We haven't taken down our tree yet. My assistant likes to leave it up as long as possible. It's kind of sad when it is time to put everything away for the year.

  23. We still have our trees up, Mommy is usually pretty slow about that, cause it makes her sad. The candles are so pretty on the steps.

  26. I guess you are traditionalists, like we are, taking down the decorations on the 6th. However, I must admit we got halfway through taking down the decorations and then haven't finished. Better get on to it!

  27. It IS sad taking down the decorations!! Sad that another Christmas has come and gone...where does the time go?? Love the candles on the stairs, but you are right...they would probably get knocked over in the morning! BOL! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug

  29. They do look waaay cool up those stairs of yours!

Tell me, what do you think of coming and going up and down those stairs without any runners? It scares me, to tell you the truth. I slid and fell down once. Haven't done it since. Y'all are cooler than I am! Maybe it's that your feet are bigger than mine!!! LOL.

  32. Oh, those candles DO look pretty on your stairs. But they would never work in our house. If we didn't knock 'em over, mom would trip on them for sure. She is not Most Graceful, you know.

  36. We are busily catching up, and see that y'all have been quite busy while we were taking care of the humans and their frailties. We love the mallets, and know that the students will too! We were sorry to learn about Dauby, she was one of our favorite parts of your estate, and we know she will be much missed. Oh, and we are sooooooo jealous of your snow.

  37. Those candles look great on the stairs. But they would stay there forever because I (Hershey) don't go up stairs very well. I am a little clumsy.

Kaci used to go up and down stairs until she saw that I wouldn't. Now she won't go up and down the stairs.

    Love -
