Chicken Soup

We helped our mom make chicken soup yesterday~
Molly and I both love our veges!
We didn't get any onion but we did get celery~
 And a carrot~
 And spinach!
Do you guys love spinach like we do?
And now for the bestest part - the CHICKEN!
 yummmmm~~
Mom added a couple of potatoes and some chick peas (because she's come to love them) and some stewed tomatoes because they're yummy.
hummmmmm - do you think we need the pastina, mom?  The soup looks pretty good just the way it is!

Enjoy your day everyone!

Sardines

We were reading Miss Sue's post a couple of days ago and she told us that sardines were very good for us doggies so we begged mom to please get us some.

We have never had sardines before so this is our first time taste-testing them~
 The aroma is incredible!
We would have eaten the whole container but mom was being stingy!  We think she must have wanted some for herself!
You are brilliant, Miss Sue! Thank you so very much for suggesting this new treat for us.  Mom says she will be buying them again and again for us!
So until next time............

SarahDale

Hello~~   I'm Sarah.
I'm a Northfield Primitives girl!    I was made in the UK on a 1920's Singer treadle sewing machine.
Mom thinks that I am so adorable ♥
I was given a very warm welcome by Autumn and Miss Francesca.
And Molly and Mitch gave me the twice over ~
And they've decided that I am a good wheelieDale and I can stay!
 I feel very loved already.
Mom says the next thing I will be needing is a proper Easter bonnet.  This one is a bit too large!
Nice to meet you all!

It's Snowing

We know that everyone is thinking spring but we are getting snow right this very minute and we are thrilled beyond thrilled!
We love the snow!  It's so much fun!
Are you rested up enough to go at it again, Mitch?!

This could be the last snowstorm for 2014 - you never know - so we're going to enjoy it while it lasts!

The Tennis Ball Game

We both got to play the tennis ball game - and this time to see if I really could beat Molly and show her who's smarter!

Mom decided to go with a mini-muffin pan this time  so all we had to do was knock the tennis ball off with our noses  - instant treat with very little work!
Too easy!
So back comes the larger muffin pan.  We either have to lift the tennis ball out or sneak your tongue underneath, if you work hard enough~

Molly is beginning to understand how it's done but mom hasn't been able to get a picture yet.
We'll keep trying though.  Neither one of us does "take" on command.
It's a fun and game it's very rewarding when mom gets frustrated with us and needs to show us how it's done.  Free treats!
So until next time............

Our Work is Never Done

We're heading to work at Crumpie's.

Who could forget this picture. Our stairs were stolen!
Guess what?  They're coming back bigger and better - only we're not allowed on them. We've been gated away!   Dad said something about urethaned wood and wet paws don't mix.
 Break time, Molly!

So until next time...............

Our Dear Friend Carol

With heavy hearts, we share with you that our dear friend, Carol Usher, has left this world too soon. We have mentioned her many times on our blog.

Mom and dad met Carol and her husband, David, at Barbara Curtiss's Barktoberfest in 2003.  Both mom and dad fell in love with Carol's Wooliedales  and bought two of them that very day.  Many more Wooliedales followed as the years went on.
Carol was an extremely gifted and talented artist and a wonderful friend.

She, David and Scuffer checked out the progress at the barn raising in Vermont this past September.

We honestly cannot imagine this world without Carol in it.  She was a very special lady and  will be missed for a very long time.

Our most special Wooliedales  - Maggie with her favorite Mr Carrot, Maggie with an ice cream cone teasing WoolieMitch, Macintosh Mitch with his favorite apples and MollyDale with her beloved tennis balls.  These are just a few.
Each one of our many Wooliedales is so special to us ♥

Our hearts are breaking for David and Scuffer and our thoughts and prayers go out to them.  We pray that Carol's beloved Jesse was waiting to greet her at Rainbow Bridge.
We love you, Carol - forever and ever ♥

Pet Naturals

We got an email from Andrew at Chewy about a week ago and he asked us to please choose one of the treats that he listed and he would send it out to us asap for us to review.
SURE - who isn't always up for treats, right?
The box arrived practically the next day!
Mom is always wishing that she could put a treat on our noses like so many other pups can do, and to "wait" until she says "okay" and then we can eat the treat.
Mom tried placing the treat on my nose - nope - and then on the top of my head - nope!  I'm 7 years old, mom, and I think this is a stoopid game!  Nobody puts treats anywhere on my body. They belong in my mouth!   These chicken liver treats are awesome!
Molly was a better sport.  You probably can't see the treat because it sort of matches Molly's fur but the treat is on her paw and she did wait - only a nano second but it was a wait.
And she got the "okay" and she scarfed it up.  yummmmmmmmm
Look at all of this good stuffs that these Pet Natural treats contain!
These treats are just the right size for us to train with and the best part is that they are delicious!

Thank you so much, Chewy, for letting us sample these wonderful treats!  We love them and we'll be buying them in the future!

So until next time............

Me and Mom Day

Yesterday, dad and Mitch headed off to Crumpie's and they forgot all about me. Can you believe they actually left without me - the nerve!    I stayed by the back door waiting for them to return but they never did.  Mom told me not to worry.  She said that we were going to have lots of fun!

I do NOT consider having my nails done fun, mom - even if these nice ladies are hugging me and telling me what a good girl I am!
We were recently on Sugar's blog and she was playing this tennis ball game. It looked like lots of fun so we are giving it a go.   Treats are hiding underneath ever single one of my tennis balls.
Mom says that I need to remove the ball and the treat will appear.
I didn't seem to be getting the concept and she said the most awful thing to me.  She said that she wished that Mitch was here to show me how it was done!  Mitch is NOT smarter than me - no way - not even close!
Next, we decided to go for walkies!  That was LOTS of fun!  Our temps have been too cold lately and we've been missing too many walks.
Now the fun is happening!
 Pizza for lunch!
I think I like spending the day with just you, mom!

So until next time.............
