Flower Friday

Mom and dad saw lots of pretty flowers at the Durham Fair and they were so pretty that they won ribbons!
The Dahlias are always winners!
 Mom always loves the Cockscomb!
A paint can for a flower container?!
There must have been a theme that mom missed.   This arrangement came with a used paint brush.
A close-up of the flowers in the above photo.   They are just the coolest!
These mushrooms showed up outside our back door after a brief rain.   They look kinda like lobster's claws.

How strange and kinda creepy!
The Autumn Crocus is in bloom~
Happy Friday☺

Love ya lots♥

  2. Those are beautiful flower arrangements. Ghostwriter was glad to see them because we didn't have many flowers in our garden this year. She hopes next year will be better. We've never seen those kind of mush-a-booms before.

  3. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so pretty. My peeps always go to our state Fair on the first day so they can see the lovely flowers. Ours starts 10/12 or 13.
We just had 1.2" of unexpected rain. I sure do hope mom doesn't see any of those weird chicken feet mushrooms.

  8. Those flowers in the one paint can looks like plain old goldenrod. Lee has a box of cleaned out paint cans. She saw some really nice decorated ones and has been going to try the idea.

  9. There is a small county fair in Missouri where my son and his family live.
They always enter. He's gotten ribbons for his tomatoes. And my grand daughter has picked wild flowers and put in a container and won.
It's always fun to see what they enter.
These flowers were so pretty. I am hoping to get some bulbs to plant next month.
Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.
