Jet

Dad had this great idea to adopt a new dog so that when mom and I move to our new apartment, Mackie would have a bestest doggie buddy on a daily basis.
This morning, we met for the very first time on walkies.
Who is that with OUR dad on this VERY foggy morning?
Jet is an 8 month old Golden-doodle.   Dad adopted him from a family in Rhode Island last night.   They are a very busy family with a 2 year old and a 4 year old and Jet was spending too much time in the crate.  Dad said that it was very difficult for this family to let Jet go but they knew that it would best for him.
In all honesty, walkies didn't go all that well.   Mackie was guarding me and mom and our morning walk turned into a barking body slamming match.

Once mom and I went into the house and left the boys alone in the workshop, things got better.
Early afternoon, Dad brought Jet inside the house for the very first time.
Can he come out yet, dad?

It looks like Mackie will have a new bestest buddy~
The boys are getting along just fine!
We are 90% moved into our new apartment but unpacking and organization hasn't happened yet.   We got new kitchen counters and mom is superhappy about that☺
We're still on schedule to move in on March 1st, so we don't have too much longer to go~

Chewy is the Sweetest

We got a surprise box in the mail yesterday!
 Only............................ it's not for us.
Mom is being stingy.   She preferred to share with dad.
Thank you so very much, Chewy.   You are always so thoughtful and caring and sharing♥
You guys are the bestest!
There is a lot of packing going on at our house and boxes were stacked high.  Then they all disappeared.   But not to worry - the stack is once again making a comeback as mom keeps packing away.

Checking it Out

Linda LandLady wanted to meet me so I took a ride with mom to visit our new place.
The stairs lead from a small mudroom at our own entrance and at the top of these stairs is the kitchen to the left and the bathroom on the right.
Mom hasn't had a gas stove in YEARS!
The frig is empty! We can't have this!
I think this will be your first job, mom!
There are lots of built-in's in this room!  This is where mom will groom me.    The bedroom is across the hallway.
The TV will be going behind me at the end of the family room.
There are closets in every single room and the window sills are nice and low so I can see out☺
Is it time to go yet?
I was kind of whiny and did get comfy on my first visit.   Mom is hoping that my beds and lots of our furniture and my toys will do the trick.
Yup, the tennis ball was still there.  I'll bring my own from home~~

Staying Positive

We have tough news to share with our Blogville friends.
After 44 years of marriage, our mom and dad will be going their separate ways.   Mom has been having a hard time focusing, so blogging has been difficult - especially composing.

The positive news is that mom and dad went together to check out an apartment.   I will be living with mom in this apartment and Mackie will be living with dad here at our house.   Dad will still be timber framing away in his barn and all of the ducks and geese and swans will stay.

Mom has been very picky about the apartment that she wanted.  It has to meet all of her needs and mine too.     I have not seen the apartment yet but I hear that it has a fenced in yard.   I have never had that before!   Mom thinks that this apartment was meant for us.   It's in a neighborhood close to where dad grew up.   Dad went to school with our new landlady, Miss Linda, so how cool is that!   One other thing that mom shared with me was as she and dad were approaching the gate in the fenced in yard to leave, dad glanced down and there was a tennis ball looking lonely and needing an AireGirl to play with it ☺
You all have heard us talk about the Glenwood where we get hamburgers and French fries.  It will be practically in our back yard!    And Sleeping Giant where we hike is only a couple of miles down the street!

Things are tough for the peeps but they're doing their very best to stay upbeat and positive and keeping it friendly so if we fall behind, please excuse us.    We will be back.

Generous Me

Mom and I went to PetSmart to get my nails done and when I was all done, I got to shop!
I decided on yummy bones that we can share and look at the cool ball that I got for Molly!
Let's take the bones out to the workshop and share right away, okay, mom!

How do you like the pressie that I picked out for you, Molly?
How do I get the tennis ball out, Mackie?
 Do you have any ideas?
While you're thinking, we'll play keep away, okay!
 Try and catch me!

The tennis ball is still trapped inside!

You are a very sweet brother to think of me.  Thank you!
Let's play chase some more!
