Socks

Mom hates knitting socks!  She sees so many beautiful pairs of socks that others knit and they're so pretty and those peeps all seem to love knitting them.    So mom decided to try it once again.  This time she decided on a pattern that uses size 6 needles so she wouldn't get frustrated with those teensyweensy things.
She finished one sock and the second one is coming along.   I think she's going to finish a pair☺
Dad is doing well.   He had an issue with swallowing due to being intubated but the ENT team came to his rescue and his swallowing has gotten a whole lot better!
He continues to get better and stronger each day!   GO DAD!
Love ya lots♥

  3. Ghostwriter used to do a little knitting, back when dinosaurs walked the Earth. She also liked to crochet and made many afghan blankets back in the precambrian era. But she's since given up those hobbies now that her fingers are becoming fossilized.

Glad to hear Dad is doing OK!

She was proud of it and it fit nicely BUT she never even started on the 2nd one. We love the lovely purple yarn your mom is using.

  8. Our Mom hates knitting socks too. She's finishing up a big afghan and then wants to start a shawl, but she's making a squirrel in between.

  12. Mom loves to crochet, knitting never seemed to click with her. But we bet those socks will be very nice AND warm for the winter.

Nice to hear the good news about your Dad - hope the rest of his recuperation goes well.

  18. Go Dad. And Go MOM...maybe do a tube sock or two before you try the heels and toes? I don't know...I made sweaters for all the boyfriends one year at
Christmas and then married the only guy who ever wore it. Good selection process, huh?
