Not Another Pair

You are not going to believe this but as much as my mom hates to knit socks, why in the world would she want to make another pair?
This is the first pair - back in the angel Maggie and Mitch days.  This pair was made in June of 2009.     Has mom ever worn them?
NO!
This is Miss Autumn back in February 2010 with mom's completed second pair of socks.    Has she ever worn them?
NO!
What is she saving them for?
And here Mackie and I are showing you the third pair of socks that mom has made.  These were made on a larger needle and a more weighty yarn and they knit up faster but are thicker and more bulky and perfect for winter.   Do you think she'll wear them this year?
Time will tell.
So why in Heaven's name is she knitting yet another pair of socks?
She must be NUTS!
 And guess what today is?
It's the day that angel Maggie started our blog eleven years ago!  So much has happened in those 11 years!        Thank you all so very much for following along with me and Maggie and Mitch and Mackie for so many very special years♥

Love ya lots♥
Molly

  1. 11 years OMCS OMCS OMCs.....congrats to your mom this proves 100% that she has longevity and determination which might also speak to the obsession with knitting socks. MOL They are all very pretty and so colorful which is exactly the kind of socks my mom likes.

Sometimes the mom's have to do something JUST to prove they can do it...and we have to suffer through these times like the troopers we are.

Hugs to you Molly, Mackie and Angels Maggie and Mitch you make our days special too

  4. wow. I say...keep on knitting socks. Knitting is therapy. It is a fine way to keep on thinking while you are also devoting time to something "useful" Kind of like writing a blog, a chance for reflection and an audience waiting for you. Congratulations!

  5. Our Mom doesn't like knitting socks either. Those are very nice socks but maybe she needs to switch to mittens.

  20. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! Happy blogiversary! Also, if your person does not want to wear those socks, I suspect they would make good toys for playing with or hiding treats in! Just saying! (Although they are very nice looking, perhaps you should not put them in your mouth after all....)

  21. Congrats on 11 years! It is amazing how much life can change in that time period. We are just about to reach 9 years so we probably met you around 9 years ago!

I think your mom knits those socks because they turn out so beautifully. You could hang them up for Santa Claus!
