We're Aire-Popping

We're having movie night and we are helping mom make popcorn with the Aire-Popper!
Purple Baby and I will keep ourselves busy while we wait~~
 Is it popped yet?
Time to enjoy the movie with our popcorn!  We just love this movie♥
Hey, Mackie.  Mom is offering me the whole bowl and I think she means it!  Of course, she's ready to snatch it back quickly if I'm grabby.      I can't believe my good fortune!
Dig in, Mackie!   Mom is being generous tonight!
Come on over, everybuddy!  There's plenty to go around!

Five Years

Our Maggie has been gone for 5 years already.   How can that be?
This is Maggie on her 11th Birthday.   She lived to be 13.5 years old.
Maggie was the only Airedale in our family that could grow a beard long enough to braid!
This photo was taken in April of 2011.
We thought that it might be fun to join Maggie and Mitch!
How we wish that we could have met Maggie!

The Endangered Chimpanzee

We are participating in Louis's Endangered Species challenge today.  Louis is Blogville's arts and entertainment director.   We accepted this challenge to increase awareness that so many of our beautiful animal brothers and sisters are in danger of completely disappearing from this Earth.   We can't let that happen!

For our endangered species, we chose the chimpanzee.

Like us, chimps are highly social animals, care for their offspring for years and can live to be over 50. In fact, chimpanzees are our closest cousins; we share about 98 percent of our genes.
In their habitat in the forests of central Africa, chimpanzees spend most of their days in the tree tops. When they do come down to earth, chimps usually travel on all fours, though they can walk on their legs like humans for as far as a mile. They use sticks to fish termites out of mounds and bunches of leaves to sop up drinking water.
Lately, people enter forests where chimpanzees live. The Chimpanzees have been getting sick from people's diseases. In addition, people are hunting the chimpanzees. Their numbers are becoming fewer and fewer.

Thank you, Louis, for giving us the opportunity to let others know about these smart and fun-loving chimps!  They're such special animals♥

Stuffed Bones

Mom made us stuffed bones again!
This time, she stuffed them with carrots and small pieces of cheese and small pieces of hotdogs and some yogurt.
You can see the hotdog peeking out of the end of the bone.   yummmmmm
Dad and mom are busy timber framing these gigantic timbers for Uncle Dan's house.
Both of the beams are Sycamore.   Sycamore is also called camouflage and you can see why.    Isn't the bark so cool!
This is the planed wood.  It's so pretty - well, mom and dad think that it is.
We would honestly rather play than get excited over the wood grain of a Sycamore tree!

Our Gram

Today would have been our gram's 85th birthday.   Mom still can't believe sometimes that she's really and truly gone.
Gram was an extremely talented hooman.   She designed and needlepointed this picture.   This is the home that mom and dad lived in before they moved where we live now.
Gram did beautiful needlework and lots of it.

She loved to knit too~
And she designed and made doll clothes and she designed and made her own clothes - mostly blouses.   She made almost all of our mom's dresses when she was in school.   To have a store-bought dress was a treat to our mom.
She loved to paint and she was good at it.   She taught classes to teach others.
She did ceramics and she entered them in shows and won lots of ribbons.
She made Christmas ornaments that everyone loves.  She had her own jigsaw to cut them out.  Her ornaments are painted on both sides.  They are works of art.
She made the bestest desserts - especially pizzelles♥
 She did calligraphy~
Happy Birthday in Heaven, gram.   We know that gramp and many others are with you helping you celebrate.   We sure do miss you here on Earth.

Blue Buffalo Healthy Starts

The Fed Ex man left our Chewy box in a snowbank but mom rescued it and brought it inside.   WHEW!
Wow!  This box is full of Blue Buffalo Healthy Starts Wet Foodables!
We got the Sunrise Skillet with Chicken and Egg and look at the pup on the label!   OMD - it's us!  What a perfect choice!
The ingredients are chicken, chicken broth, chicken liver, potatoes, eggs and tons of other healthy vitamins and stuffs and it's made in the USA!  You can bigify the label to check it out.

Look at the silky smooth consistency and it smells sooooooooo yummy!  We can't wait to give it a taste!

We are using it as a topper on our kibble.   Mom gives us supplements and she likes hiding them underneath our yogurt so we don't find them and spit them out.   She won't be worrying about that today!  We can't wait to dig in!
 We are chowing down~~

 We licked our bowls clean!
We can't wait till the next meal when we can have more!
We give the Blue Buffalo Healthy Starts 8 paws up!  Thank you so much, Miss Natalie and Chewy for letting us review this delicious food for January!   Miss Natalie has taken over Miss Sydney's place at Chewy.  Miss Natalie is the new Influencer Outreach Specialist and has been at Chewy for over 2 years and when she's not at Chewy, she's a full-time zoo keeper!  How cool is that!  She has 4 dogs, 2 parrots, a cat and a monkey☺
Chewy is the absolute bestest!

Celebrating Ten Months

It's been forever since mom and dad went to Modern Apizza in New Haven.  They were there last night and brought home leftovers.
 Eggplant and black olive pizza~~

I'm 10 months old now.    Just two more months to go and it will be my very first birthday and I'm hoping that I'll have a huge pawty!
I would like to order an entire pizza just for me!   Can that work, mom?   I sure hope she says yes!
