A Dreary Thursday

We have a raw rainy day today.   All of the flooding that we got on Monday was absorbed into the ground the next morning and mom did laundry on Tuesday morning and the washer and dryer worked just fine.  She found a wee bit of water on the basement floor but it was no big deal.
It's still soft in my back yard but not too muddy if I don't get "too nosy" in the back left hand corner.
We've seen a woodchuck near the shed so we know that they made it through okay too.
Mom made Madi's soup this morning.  She decided to add black olives to the soup this time and she added some celery too.     It's the only kind of soup she makes anymore.  That's how much she loves it and it's the perfect day for soup!
 I love spinach!
And I got a carrot too even though she didn't put any carrots in Madi's soup.
We dodged the raindrops and got our walkie in☺
How about some tennis ball now, mom!
Love ya lots♥
Molly

We're so glad your washer and dryer are ok - and the house, too!
We've had a lot of the dreary stuff, too, but today the sun is out! We'll send it your way!

  9. That soup looks super delicious! We make something similar with sausage, gnocci, and escarole. Yummy!

Glad your yard is drying out. We had snow falling all day it seemed. But it didn't stick around. We're so tired of winter!!!

  10. We're glad you're drying out. We actually have sunshine today. That should make our flowers and trees happy until the frost hits tonight.

  11. I am so glad your flood waters went down and you were able to get a walk in. We are basking in the third day of warm sunshine but tomorrow we are due to have some thunder storms and then it will be cooler, more like April temperatures.

    Your soup looks very good.

    Hugs, Susie & Treacle xx
