Flower Friday

We are joining Arty this week for Flower Friday~
I found raspberries!
 And a bunny!
We are seeing lots of Daylilies just like you are, Arty!
The American Chestnut trees are in bloom.  The blossoms have a very distinctive smell.   The smell reminds mom of wet cement - because years ago, when she and dad were pouring the slab for his workshop barn, the Chestnut trees were in bloom in their yard and the scent was overpowering.
And who doesn't love the smell of the beautiful Marigold!
 We found Milkweed~

And Crown Vetch~
 I found some Chicory!
And we found lovely wild roses in bloom.
And then............. as mom turned to leave the wild roses, she tripped on a huge branch in the road that she hadn't notice before because she was having too much fun with the flashy beast, and down she went.  I took the opportunity to help myself to yummy grass while she was rolling around in the road.   I knew I wasn't going to get yelled at this time☺   She scraped up both elbows, hurt her wrist and her shoulder and her ankle but thankfully, her camera was not injured - and she was VERY relieved about that and she was also thankful that she never dropped my leash!      She feels so fortunate that she didn't fall forward into the wild rose's thorns and the poison ivy!
We were at the end of our walkie and not far from our house so she was able to hobble home pretty quickly.
She realized not long after we got back home that her ankle was worse than she originally thought.  There was no swelling or bruising at that time but she couldn't put any weight on her foot and she pretty much relaxed for the rest of the day and the next day.
I was crossing my paws that we could get back to our regular routine soon.   I was SOOOO bored!
Update~~~~We are back to walkies!  YAY!   Now we need to get rid of this heat and humidity.
Happy Friday, everybuddy☺

Love ya lots♥
Molly

  4. Ouchie!! When our Mom fell in the back yard (she stepped in a hole that Syd dug) we all jumped on her. We thought she needed cpr but she kept yelling at us to get away and leave her alone. Peeps don't appreciate us sometimes. Hope your Mom heals quickly.

  9. Hi Molly, we do hope your Mom gets better soon, it is so embarrassing when this happens. I quite often fall over my own feet for no reason and end up with lumps and bumps. We do hope your ankle gets better soon. We loved the flowers you found before your tip up especially the marigold which is one of my favourites.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

    Hugs & Love

  12. How about if you go pick some raspberries for your mom for her to eat while she recovers? Actually, I just read that she's better.... so you can save that treat for next time!

I love raspberries. Ours are more than a month away. Enjoy them for us too! (Do you eat them off the bush, Molly? Our pups do!)
