Flower Friday

We are joining Jakey for Flower Friday this week.

Mom changed up our route hoping to find some pretty flowers.  I have been dragging my beard through the wet grass and sniffing all of those lovely new smells.   Sorry for the wet beard☺

 The Mums are in bloom~

Mom has tried 87 thousand times to get a decent picture of Jewelweed also known as Touch-me-Not.    This plant is a remedy for poison ivy - one that we have not tried.
 Here ya go~   A decent picture~
This beautiful autumn basket was hanging on someone's lamp post!
Our Rose of Sharon is still blooming away~

We found this egg case under our Copper Beech Hickory tree and had no idea who lived inside so we googled it and it seems that this egg case will develop into a luna moth!  We will be watching!

 Happy Friday, everyone☺

Love ya lots♥
Molly

That was great to know about the plant that helps poison ivy. I'll be sure to tell Mom. *wags and smiles* Lucy

  4. You sure found some pretty flowers to share. We have some of that Jewelweed growing on our property too but never knew it could help with poison ivy.

  5. Interesting that Jewelweed is considered a remedy for poison ivy. Lee has been very lucky to never have gotten poison ivy when exposed. Our humming birds this year were really feeding off the Rose of Sharon last year they simply went passed the bush.

  6. Our Rose of Sharon got finished a couple weeks ago. How neat to find the moth nursery. We found a praying mantis egg case and when it hatched, hundreds of tiny little mantis babies came running out. Mom and Dad grabbed some and moved them to other areas because they eat each other.

  8. We never knew that about jewel weed! Thanks for the tip! You're very lucky to find a cocoon like that. The last time we had two cocoons, they hatched out to be great big sphinx moths. Wow!

  11. A moth! That'll be interesting to watch. Don't worry about the beard. Ours are usually wet and usually have dirt or 'stuff' clinging to them.

  16. We love all the flowers you found and that Autumn basket I would love one of those. The Luna Moth egg case looks fascinating. We think your beard looks great exactly like Treacles when she has been busy investigating things. Hugs & Love Susie & Treacle xx
