my dad looked at the firewood and sighed... we did a mice-calculation and are woodless now ;O)
We miss the flowers, but appreciate the rosemary. That is one of the things in the herb garden that even muzzer can grow. Almost. And this time of years we have lots of berries, some in our yard, others on our walkies route. Come viisit! We would be happy to share!
Momma planted a rosemary bush in our yard too! We're looking forward to it getting bigger.
Happy Nature Friday to you and Mom Molly. We have gas logs here so no wood needed. I love that your mom smashes up her rosemary.I should have included a link about Swish program. I was surprise no one had heard of it. I added this linkhttps://healthjournalism.org/blog/2016/09/fluoride-mouth-rinsing-by-children-receives-renewed-attention/Hugs Cecilia
We have a big stick pile in our back yard. Sparrows Inc. use it as their winter spa hotel. In spring Dad will put all the sticks through the noisy screaming stick grinder machine thing and make them into mulch. But then we begin piling more sticks for next year. Hope you have a Happy New Year!
We love your 'little woods'. Bet there are some great scents coming from there from all the unseen creatures.
Bet you the fresh rosemary is the best ever. Woods are a great place to sniff around.
We think it's great you have someplace in your yard for all the small animals and birdies to hide and stay warm!xoxo,Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Nice yard. Too bad you don't use the fireplace. We have a gas one which is so nice. It is super warm and there is no mess or work with it.
Even when things aren't growing there is lots of nature all around us. We loved taking a little look around at the nature outside your home.
so happy to see you and Mom enjoying your new home/yard!
Dear Molly,What a wonderful Yard! Thanks for sharing!Licks,Cobi
Mom used to have a small herb garden. Rosemary is one of her favorites too.Mom loves all the Christmas lights too, but we had a warmer day yesterday before the arrival of some bitter cold today. She decided to get those outside lights off the shrubs and put away. Then she just kept going with all the inside decorations too. And now she says the house looks so bare - she too is wishing she had waited a few more days.Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
So nice of you to help the small animals have a place to keep warmhugsHazel & Mabel
Your holly is quite beautiful. What a fun yard to sniff around and have adventures!
The holly bushes are so pretty - that is something I would love to have. I'd also love to have some rosemary outside all winter, but I had to bring mine inside. It never seems to do quite as well inside, but I have been able to use a little bit....my favorite is on chicken or roasted potatoes.Jan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
Mmm, mmm - rosemary does smell tremendous!!!! Thank you for the tour. It reminds me so much of where my Grandma lived. Wonderful memories.
We don't have a fireplace in our new home. We never used the one in our old house either. It seriously never gets that cold here. LOL!
I bet that rosemary smells yummy! Very nice of you to make space for the animals. Ruby and I wish you and your mom a very happy and healthy 2019!
Love your back yard, Molly! It looks beautifully woodsy - a happy place for animals :)Kathryn XX
