Nature Friday

We could call this Flower Friday today☺
When mom finished grooming Mackie, we called his dad and asked him if we could walk Mackie home and he said yes.
You smile for the flashy beast, Mackie.   I've had more than my share of it!
And of course, mom asked Mackie's dad if we could take pictures of anything blooming in their yard!
The yellow Witch Hazel is in bloom~
And so is the red one~
We found our first crocus near where angel Mitch is laid to rest♥
And we found Scilla and more crocus~
 And we found Snowdrops!
Mom told me to sit and smile but not on top of the Snowdrops☺
The swans were enjoying the sun near the small pond~
You look a lot less furry now, Mackie - and you'll be a whole lot cooler for when the warmer weather finally decides to stay!
We are joining along with mermaid Rosy today for Nature Friday~
Happy Friday, everybuddy!

Celebrating Mackie's Third

Mackie arrived this morning and mom couldn't wait to comb him and give him a bath and comb him again.
Mackie's 3rd birthday was two weeks ago and we promised him that when he came to be groomed, we would celebrate!
Mom bought us peanut butter Frosty Paws!  yummmmmmm
Thank goodness that you don't have to see to eat ice cream, Mackie☺

I'm sure you're noticing the red boot on my foot.   Yesterday, I decided to lick all of the fur off my foot and it was close to bleeding so my evil mom booted me and the only time she's taking it off is for walkies.   She seems to think that me licking MY own foot is unacceptable behavior.
Anyway - my boot won't stop us from having fun, Mackie.
Mackie is spending the whole day and he will be here overnight and tomorrow, mom will groom him and make him even more handsome!
We're off to have some fun!

Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy, Arty and Jakey this week for Nature Friday.

It's officially spring now so let's see what we can find on our walkie.
We can't wait to see these mini-daffies blooming!
 We found a seashell!
Mom bought this really cool poop bag carrier at Amazon.   It works great and it's so affordable at only five bucks and now she doesn't have to carry a poop bag anymore!
Happy Friday, everybuddy!

Easy Defense

This month, the Chewy influencers gave us an opportunity to try out the Easy Defense Flea and Tick Wipes and mom could not have been happier.

We are being honest here.   For the past 2 years, I have been wearing the Seresto Flea and Tick collar.   Mom never thought that I was having issues with it but for the past 2 years, my belly has been irritated with red spots and black spots and mom has had to apply apple cider vinegar and many topical sprays, gels and creams to try to keep it looking decent.   My belly would FINALLY clear up at the end of the year in November, and go back to looking healthy.   So at the beginning of this month, she put the Seresto collar on me, and I immediately started to scratch and itch and my belly immediately got tiny red spots.   She took the collar off and started looking for something natural and with less chemicals than the Seresto collar has.
She discovered the Ofhuh collar at Amazon and read the reviews and decided this was the way we were going to go.  Because it's new to me, she has been constantly checking me for ticks and to be honest, it's been cold here and our snow has just now disappeared so there are probably not too many ticks out and about yet.
So when Chewy offered the Easy Defense Flea and Tick wipes for both cats and dogs, mom jumped at it!
"Protect your precious pup from fleas, ticks and mosquitoes the safe and effective way with the Only Natural Pet EasyDefense Flea & Tick wipes for dogs and cats. Using the power of natural Geranium and Peppermint plant extracts, these biodegradable towelettes are completely free of pesticides and toxins, making them safe for your furry friends, and sparing you from applying dangerous chemicals. Scientifically tested and veterinarian approved botanicals create an invisible barrier around your dog or cat—and the towelettes make it easier than ever to protect your pet from pests. To humans and pups, they carry a pleasant, soft scent, but the smell makes one thing clear to fleas and ticks—they aren’t welcome on the back of your furry friend. Keep them safe the natural way, with Only Natural Pets."

There are 40 wipes in the resealable package and they don't have an over-powering odor at all.
"Wipe the pre-moistened towelette on the pet's fur, including paws, legs and stomach until damp. Massage the coat so product reaches skin. Depending on the thickness, type, and length of fur more than one wipe may be required to get the product through the entire coat. For dogs, pay close attention to the lower back and chest regions and for cats target the neck and head regions, as fleas tend to gather in these areas. Avoid contact with the animal's nose, mouth, eyes and genitals. Reapply every 2-3 days or as needed, before the animal goes outside or just after bathing or swimming. Safe for daily use.
Important: EasyDefense Flea & Tick Wipes protect against new fleas and will not eliminate an existing infestation. If your pet currently has fleas, please use Only Natural Pet All-In-One Flea Remedy to eliminate them prior to use. Sensitivities may occur when using any flea & tick prevention program. If your pet shows signs of irritation, bathe them with shampoo or a mild detergent, rinsing with large amounts of water. Contact your veterinarian if adverse symptoms continue or worsen."
So far, I have had no irritation.
Are we finally ready for walkies, mom?
Mom and I both feel that I'm now a VERY protected AireGirl from those nasty ticks and fleas and mosquitoes!
Thank you so much for letting us give these natural wipes a try,  Miss Natalie and the Chewy team!

~We received Easy Defense Flea and Tick Wipes free of charge from Chewy.com in exchange for our honest review~

Tasty Tuesday

Guess what mom made yesterday.   PIZZA!    She hasn't made pizza in forever!
She found fresh whole wheat dough in the bakery section of the grocery store.  She spread pesto that she bought in a jar, all over the dough and then arranged plum tomato slices over the pesto.   Then she sliced fresh mozzarella and put that on top of the tomatoes.   Then she sprinkled her Mrs Dash's Italian seasoning over the mozz followed by parmesan cheese and then black pepper.  Then she topped it all with olive oil.   Next time she will reduce the amount of olive oil.   It's ready for the oven.
Bake at 475 degrees F on the bottom shelf of your oven for approx 10-12 minutes until the crust is brown and the cheese is bubbly.    Let it cool slightly before cutting and serving.
Trust me, mom.   They are not fooled that you ate only 2 pieces~
To say that it's yummy is an understatement.   This pizza is awesome and so easy to make!
 More please!
We have lots left over.   Who's in?!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day.
May songbirds serenade you every step along the way.
May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue.
And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Nature Friday

We are joining Arty this week for Nature Friday~

These photos were taken on Tuesday, when we still had snow.   It's so colorless at this time of year and kind of depressing.    Mom told me to look depressed.  Is it working?!☺
So mom came up with an idea to take pictures of nature that had landed on top of the snow.
Are these the same oak leaves that you have, Phenny and Nelly?
 We found a pinecone~
And this is the Sycamore tree ball~
And we found these nasty Copper Beech pods that love to get lodged in between my feet pads~
And on Wednesday, we noticed that we still had lots of Bittersweet berries on our vines.    I guess the birdies don't like them?
This is the last little bit of snow in my back yard.   I gotta enjoy it while it lasts!
Happy Friday, everybuddy!
