We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~
The Rose of Sharons have been really pretty! We don't see too many white ones. Landlady Maryann's Rose of Sharon is peeking between our Arborvitae's!Look what we saw as we were being nosey through the hedges! Mom loves the antique cars and the older - the better! The Magnolia in our back yard is blooming for the second time this year~We found a pretty vibrant Spiderwort~Walking up one of our favorite streets, we discovered the Lilies were making quite the showing!Mom has been calling me Dukey Delicious. I'm not sure what it means but I get lots of kisses and it makes her happy☺Happy Friday and Happy first day of August!Love ya lots♥Duke
Happy August! You have lots of pretty flowers and the old car looks really neat! The flowers around here are all dying this time of the summer from too much heat and storms. They will come back hopefully.
ReplyDeleteI bet your mommy thinks you're delicious. You certainly look like you could be. Boy that white rose of Sharon is impressive I've never seen one that Snow White before. All of a sudden we've gone from 95° to 57 with a wind out of the north. It's downright cold here this morning in ohio. August, what can we say.

Delicious: scrumptious, tasty, sweet, mmmmmmmmmm good!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad to hear that you are delicious, Duke! We have a lovely big Rose of Sharon bush in our garden, but over here, it's called an "Althea".
ReplyDeleteWoofs,

ReplyDeleteDuke and Sue thank you for the lovely walk and all the beautiful posies.
ReplyDeleteThis morning Bryan was watching a tv program of an artist painting.
He was painting an Indian motorcycle. I recalled how much your husband like them.
Duke your profile is Dandy as always
Hugs cecilia
one time my father came home with a 1941 ford which lived in the backyard for a while. He said it would be mine, then I heard he gave it to my nephew who was 5 years younger than I was. I loved that car and sitting in it, playing with the buttons and radio. It was a metal stick that a tab could be pushed up and down to choose a station...

Those are very pretty flowers Dandy Duke and that antique car is super cool.
ReplyDeleteThose blooms are almost as pretty as you
ReplyDeleteHandsome Duke - that is a great shot of you with the background of the arborvitae and Rose of Sharon. Our Rose of Sharon trees are that color too. But the pesky squirrels are making a mess out of our big tall arborvitae near the garage they keep gnawing off big clumps of the branches. Naughty critters.

Lulu: "Looking handsome as always, Duke!"
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Our Dada is wondering if that little car has a crank sticking out of the front of it ..."
Furrst-Mom thanks you for the tip on the pepermint oil! Duke, I, Marv am the shower curtain run behinder! I did not know anyone else did that! We LOVE all the flowers today!
ReplyDeleteAND WE GOT RAIN! It cooled off and the rain fell and the thunder boomed! Wowzers! It was pretty scary! Jo Jo went and hid inside the sofa in the Man Cave downstairs, Nutmeg snuggled with Mom and was furry upset (she even cried a little bit), Kozmo hid UTB and I, Marv, sat in the cat tree in the livingroom window and watched all the lightening! Does thunder scare you? Keep being AWESOME Duke! Your #1 Fan Boy, Marvelous Marv
The flowers are beautiful, you are so handsome and antique cars always catch my eye, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers, especially the Lillies. Dukey Delicious seems like the perfect name. :)
