Today's color is champagne.

Dreaming about it is about all you can do, Mitch!  No way will you ever get to drink the real stuff!

Her dress looks kinda champagne to us and her faithful companion is by her side!

The dollhouse curtains look to be the right color and so does that chair!

MangoMinster - Maggie's Entry

It's MangoMinster time again! We happen to think that this truly is the event of the year.

It's just so much fun!

I, Miss Maggie, am a diva - absolutely and positively! 
I'll be entering the Shameless dogs and Doggie divas category.

I have had my very own birthday cake made entirely of beautiful flowers - just for me!

This tiara is part of my wardrobe!  I wear it when I need to get to my point across!  It's all about me, ya know!

I'm good to my stuffies. I'm a good mom!

And I have no problem dressing for the occasion.  I have hat boxes full of hats!

I could be an actress if I wanted to be one. Playing the part of an older lady is my specialty!
I even have my own mink stole!  Mom has to ask ME if she wants to borrow it!

Or I can dress more sensibly when I need to supervise the shoveling of snow so that I don't have to trudge through anything deeper than 2 inches!

Nice work on the shoveling, dad!

I have a nice warm winter coat and mom appliqued an Airedale on it especially for ME!

I love beautiful collars and I have many of them.

I love to shop and having my own purse really makes it nice!

Yup, I'm a diva for sure!

Silent Sunday and LOTS of Snow

The Before and The After and The Next Stage

Mom is pleased!

The hallway is looking much cleaner and brighter. 

The trim color is a Martha Stewart paint called Mourning Dove and she is just loving this color!
 

Can you see flat George on the freshly painted steps?  We still have another coat to give the risers but that will be the last step before we call it a job well done.

Mom decided no Airedales will be stenciled in the hallway.  booooooooooooooooo

Hey, we tried!

The next phase is the hallway on the second floor!

Can you see the old stencil that runs over the top of that painting that's still hanging in the stairwell?  Mom is afraid of heights and she needs to get over it!

Believe it or not, mom and dad will have to duck or bump on the way up and on the way down the stairs.  It won't be any problem for Mitch and I don't do stairs anymore so no problem for me either. 

It's kinda wierd looking but it works and mom is not afraid to get on top of the staging!

So the project continues...............  this time on the upper deck!

Guess what?

We got snow!  Dad says there's about a foot of it out there! whoooooohooooooo

The Winners of the Mini-Purse GiveAway

We have winners!

Mitch is checking the list twice to be absolutely sure.

First of all, mom had a blast knitting these purses and because we got such a great response,  she's going to make more mini-purses so we can do another give-away.

We've got to keep her awake at night so she doesn't fall asleep watching TV so you guys are actually helping her out!

She's At It Again

Our hallway has not been painted in over 20 years so mom says that this will be the next project!

The walls will be antique white and the trim color will be different - bye bye blue!

It's coming along!  The walls are no longer yellow - they're white!

Do you think we can talk her into more Airedale stencils?

It's very boring at our house. All mom wants to do is work on this stoopid hallway! She says it's fun!  Our idea of fun is a whole lot different!

Twinsie Tuesday

Mom and I went out to the mailbox yesterday after dindin and there was a package for me!  It was from my one of my very best friends, Miss Sunshade!
Mom and I have always admired her beautiful beaded collar.
I now have one of my very own!  Thank you so very much, Sunshade and Elaine!  You guys are much too thoughtful and generous!

What we didn't know was that this is a very special collar.  The stones on my collar are healing stones and this beautiful collar is made especially for me.  Sunshade had to tell the collar maker my birthday and also my health problems so that they could choose the stones accordingly.  The maker also wanted to know my personality - how sweet I am and how much my mom and I love each other and how I live with a stingy over-the-top Airebrother!  hehehe

 What a fabulous and gorgeous gift, Sunshade and Elaine!  Mom and I will treasure my beautiful collar forever!

I think this makes us twinsies and best forever friends forever and ever, Sunshade!
