My Gotcha Day

Today is my Gotcha Day.   I have been with my family for 5 years!

Earlier this week, I got a package in the mail from Reilly and Denny and Jackson.
They sent me one of their very special handmade cards and some crunchie duckie feets!
Can you see me drooling all over the rug?  This is good stuff!  I sure hope our waterfowl don't get wind of this!
Thank you so very much, guys.  You are always so thoughtful and generous and such wonderful friends!

And guess what I had the night before my special day?
A frozen blueberry yogurt on a stick!

This is cold on my toofies, mom!
Hey, you stole a bite!  I don't need your help, ya know!
 yummmmmmmm~~~
I sure wish you were here to share a yogurt with me, Maggie.  Pawties aren't the same without you.
Maggie, I want you to know that if it wasn't for you and the love that mom and dad have for the Airedale breed because of you, I would have never come to live here.  I just wanted you to know that.  Thank you!   I miss you TONS!

I love you, Maggie~

Happy St Patrick's Day

My friend, Henry sent me a pressie in the mail on Thursday.  Henry is a WireFoxTerrier that My Maggie and I have never met.  Henry had a brother named Lenny that he never met.  This is getting confusing, huh.  Angel Lenny and angel Maggie used to have birthdays very, very, very close to each other and they were the same age so they always called themselves twins.
One summer, Lenny and his hoomans visited us and it was the most wonderful visit!   Lenny's hoomans adopted Henry after Lenny crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  I hope that maybe one day, I can meet Henry!

Isn't this the coolest spider that Henry sent me!  I think Mr Spider likes me!
You have the most beautiful handwriting, Henry!   I sure hope My Maggie and angel Lenny are having a great time together!

Happy St Patrick's Day to all of my friends!

Love ya lots,
Mitch

My Trip to Petco

Mom always said that she'd never take me to Petco because I'm too much of a hooligan.  Well, guess what?  She gave in and took me!

I saw a bunny up close - much closer than the ones that hop around in my yard.

My Gotcha Day is Sunday and mom said that I could pick out anything that I wanted - well, anything within reason.
This is my brand of kibble, mom.  Can we go for the bison and venison flavor this time, pretty please?
 He's kinda cute!
 A beef trachea!
We're headed out to the workshop so mom can carve.  Thank you for not making me wait till Sunday, mom!

I have to think of a really good name for my new donkey stuffie. Any ideas?
I told you I'd be a good boy at Petco, mom!  Can we please go again soon?

So until next time............

Love ya lots,
Mitch

My friend, Sunshade, is in the Unlikely Animal Friends Contest on Cesar's Way and she has been chosen as one of the finalists!  whoooooooohooooooo

Is this not the cutest video ever!   Please go to here to vote for my friend, Sunshade!  You do need to have a facebook account.
Thank you, thank you so much in advance!

A Pressie for Me from my Dad

My Gotcha Day is coming up soon and my dad bought a very special pressie just for me.
It came in the mail yesterday.
Why are you sticking your tongue out at me?
Your nose looks like a blueberry!

I like to eat blueberries!

Thank you for my teddy, dad.   I love him and I think Baby likes him too~

My Maggie's Portrait

As you all know, My Maggie won Reader's Choice award for MangoMinster.   Her prize was a gift certificate  from Sammie and Avalon to have her portrait painted by P.A.W.S. Painter.

The portrait arrived on Wednesday.  It's so beautiful and we absolutely love it and we can't wait to frame it and hang it in the perfect spot!

Thank you so very much Sammie and Avalon and thank you so much Pat at P.A.W.S painter.    What a treat to have this gorgeous work of art in our home forever and ever to remind us of our precious girl!

The AireStuffie in my header photo is Margaret.  Barney and Storm's mom, Miss Linda, made her for mom a couple of years ago.  We mailed Miss Linda some of My Maggie's fur and her fur was knitted in with the yarn so a part of  My Maggie is in Margaret.

When mom first got Margaret, she smelled just like My Maggie but mom never wrapped her up - she left her out so that she could enjoy her and now she says that Margaret has lost her Maggie scent.
This is not true!  I can smell My Maggie on Margaret, mom.  She's here with us forever and ever.

Love ya lots,
Mitch

True Colors Thursday - Apple Green

I'm playing True Colors with Reilly and Denny again.  This week's color is apple green.

My gram made this fruit stack a few years ago.
You're not seeing the dust, right?
I see apple green in the background. My Maggie sure did love that toy~
Mr Croc does not belong on my head, mom!
 The twist~
A Granny Smith apple~

See you all next Thursday!

An Update and a Forever Book

Things are going along very well at Crumpie's.   The bathrooms are sheet rocked and taped and the next plan is for them to be painted.
The windows are in and the cupola is all clapboarded and we actually got the primer on it so it's all white now.  Mom forgot to bring the camera today so the white cupola picture will have to wait until next time.

Mom has a project going on at blog to print.com
We're making books so that we can have the lives of Maggie and Mitch together forever.   You can only publish 1500 photos in one book and seeing as we have been blogging for over 5 years, we need more than 1 book.  Believe it or not, we have over 7,000 photos so we're working on yearly volumes.
The first volume arrived a few days ago.

Hey, that's my MangoMinster entry for 2012!  That was sure fun!
We started with 2012 and we're going backwards.   The next volume has been published and it's on its way and we can't wait to see it!  So that's the latest news here!

So until next time...........

Love ya lots,
Mitch

An Unexpected Package

I got a surprise package in the mail.
 Look who it's from~

It's from My Maggie at the Rainbow Bridge.
She sent me her most favorite toy and she sent me the sweetest note that made my mom and dad get all choked up.
Thank you, thank you, My Maggie.   Mr Carrot sure does have the loudest and bestest squeaker ever!
I love you, Maggie.

Your,
Mitch

True Colors Thursday - Royal Purple

I'm playing True Colors with Reilly and Denny again this week.

This week's color is royal purple.

This was a tough color for us but we kept looking and discovered that one of mom's very favorite paintings has a royal purple background.
This silky bathrobe hangs on the back of our upstairs bathroom door and it never gets used.
I feel like a king!
The twist~
Our printer was running out of ink so William and Kate are sporting plaid clothing!
We hope they're enjoying checking out the royal swans on our pond~
Come back in a couple of months, William and Kate, and there will be color in the garden!

See you all next Thursday~

Love ya lots,
Mitch
