Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Mom has made broccoli soup before and she loves it but she's always wanted to see how broccoli cheddar soup tastes so that's our project - we're supervising the making of Broccoli Cheddar Soup!

 The broccoli and onions are cooking away~

 Sampling the cheddar cheese is the best part of our job!

 The milkie mixture is heating and will be added to the broccoli and onions soon. 

 Can you see those tiny bits of cream cheese floating in there?   The cream cheese gives it a wonderfully rich taste.

It's ready to ladle into the soup bowls and enjoy~

This soup is fabulously delicious and mom says that she will definitely be making it again!

Frozen Snow

Our beautiful snow is frozen and it's very hard to walk on.  The sun is out nice and bright and my weight is making me fall through.  Getting from here to there to do my business is hard work!
I'm going to need a nap after this, mom!

A few hours later and I'm a genius!
Looky - I'm walking on top of the snow!  Is this amazing or what?!

I think this pumpkin's smile is frozen in place!

Molly and I love the snow but please make the ice go away!

Happy 1st Birthday

Today is my very first birthday!

 And Mitch and Molly are helping me celebrate with treats!

Phil Was Right

Phil, the groundhog was right!  Spring is not around the corner - not yet!

 Margaret and Penny aren't minding the snow at all~

 UH OH!  You're supposed to be in the Black Swan cottage with the other black swans!  Wait until dad finds out you jumped your fence, Agnes!

 Stop saying hi to us.  You better hightail it back to the cottage before you get into heaps of trouble!

 We have more snow predicted for tonight and it keeps on snowing into tomorrow!  YIPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE

 Thanks for not predicting an early spring, Phil. We sure do appreciate it!

A purple package came in the mail and mom said that it was for me!

One Last Piece

Dad and mom pick up a pizza 10 minutes down the road from us almost every single Saturday and today is no different.   It's always a fresh tomato pizza. That's their favorite and it's low on salt so it works.

A whole piece is left over!

Evil Molly

Molly can be such a fun playmate but when it comes to mealtimes, she's a real witch!
Mom is preparing our food and Molly is making darn sure that I don't get anywhere near mom or the food!  You can't hear her but she's growling at me in a very low voice. She thinks mom can't hear her.  

 This goes on until mom tells Molly to get "over here and sit and stay" and then I can move in closer. 

 Mom patrols us when we eat. She has to make sure that Molly stays on her side.  This has been going on for almost 2 years, ya know!
Molly has her own water but she sneaks over and drinks mine.

 And when we're both all done, Molly doesn't want me to leave this spot until she says so.  Who the heck does she think she is?!
It's a good thing that I'm patient and a big loveable boy!

 Do you think I should chomp her leg off?

Two Years Already

Not one day goes by that we don't think of our sweet angel Maggie~~

Maggie,  we just wanted you to know that mom broke out your special coat when we were experiencing those scary freezing temps.  We both took turns wearing it when we went out to do our bidness and we felt nice and warm and cozy wrapped in the beautiful coat that you adored.

Something is Missing

We were at Crumpie's and we noticed that something was horribly wrong!

 Did you notice too?
Our stairs are missing!  What's with the ladder?  We don't "do" ladders!
How do we get upstairs to the second floor to supervise?

 And how do I get upstairs to amuse myself and play with my ball or to drop my ball and try to hit the closest hooman's head down below?

 This is NEVER going to work and we were most upset about it - upset to the point that mom felt so bad that she gave us treats.

 This helps a little bit but we still have a HUGE problem, dad!

 We will snooze here and wait until you decide how best to fix this problem!

Eight Inches

We got eight inches of cold fluffy snow yesterday!
Does my nose look crooked to you?
It's probably frozen!  It's only 10 degrees outside right now and the sun is shining and it's the peak of the afternoon.   Mom and dad don't even want to think about what the lows are going to be tonight!  brrrrrrrr

 Molly appears to be frozen in place~~

 And because it's so cold out, we can only be outside for a VERY short period of time or we will lift our feets for mom to dust off the snow because they begin to freeze!

The black swans have a heat light inside their swan cottage and they are smart enough to let themselves in at night.   Dad doesn't even feed them outside any more. He feeds them inside to encourage them to go in.  

 Penny, Margaret and Angel Whooper have lots of company on this very frigid day~

For all of the peeps who are once again in this deep freeze - stay warm!
