Happy 11th Birthday, Putter

We are celebrating the birthday of our goodest and bestest AireFriend, Putter!  She is 11 years old today!
Our mom made Putter a quilted block for her special day and it arrived in Seattle a few days ago.  Do you see the tag that Putter is sniffing?  That is a very special tag.  Putter gave that "Best Friends" tag to Maggie in March 2007 . 

  Mom decided that it would be very  nice to give it back to Putter seeing as the girls will always be goodest and bestest friends, forever and ever.

We also sent Putter Blue Dog Bakery Doggie Cream cookies for her special day but we saved out a few of them so we could celebrate her birthday with a pawty here at our house.    The cream cookie is our base and mom put banana pudding on top!

A New Buddy

Mom went to the garden center yesterday.  She wanted to buy a gardenia for the garden because she loves them so much.  She didn't find any gardenias but she did come home with this~~

We just happen to think this is better than any plant she could have come home with.
Nice goin', mom!

And the latest in Bar Harbor, Maine~~
The red building with the cupola was raised by the Northford Timber Framers in 2003.  It's a house that belongs to Professor Mike and Kris.  This new timberframe will be living quarters also.   How cool is this!

 The roof is going on already.  These guys are sure fast and awesome workers!

Flower Friday

We're joining Dory again for Flower Friday~

The apple tree is in bloom. 

 And so is the dogwood~

 The fragrance of the lilacs is intoxicating and we are loving it!

The double French lilacs.  This small tree has been here forever.  Every year that goes by looks like it's going to be its last year but it keeps on coming back year after year~

The Magic Cheeseburger Window

Mom said that she was treating us to a huge surprise!

 Guess where we got to go and it's not even our birthday!

 Hello - we're placing our order!   We would like a cheeseburger and an order of chicken McNuggets, pretty please with sugar on top!

 Mom said that she didn't want to eat in the parking lot.  She wanted to take it home to make sure that this really was a plain cheeseburger with NO ONIONS, just like we ordered.   It was our first time ordering and she kinda didn't trust the cooker peeps so she needed to check up on them. 

 I will have a McNugget please!

 Meeeeeeee too!

 The McDonald's chefs listened to us - there wasn't one onion on our burger - just cheeeeeeeese☺
We had our burger half on top of our dindin. 

 Good to the very last drop!

 Thanks, mom!  That was the most wonderful surprise ever!  Can we do it again tomorrow?!

Purple and Orange

Mom's new sneakers arrived in the mail.

 They're kind of loud, don't you think, mom?  Suppose one of my friends sees me in these?

Mom is just loving her new sneakers.  Purple and orange is her very favorite color combination.
You're not going to wear them with two different color laces though, right?  OMD, what will the neighbors think?!

Wellness Core Protein Bars

We got our usual email from Miss Sydney at Chewy a couple of days ago asking us which treats we wanted to try out and review for the month of May.  Both Molly and I agreed on the Wellness SuperFood Protein  Bars.  They are chicken and turkey and sweet potato flavor! Can you even stand it!  yummmm

 These treats are made in the USA with all yummy ingredients.  And they are only 19 calories for one treat so that means that we can eat the entire bag right this minute right, mom?!

 Mom stuck her nose inside the bag and said that they smelled delicious and thank doG she didn't try them out or she would have finished them off for us!

Can we please have another one?

We give these treats eight paws up!  More please!

Flower Friday

We're joining Dory for Flower Friday~

Our double daffies and tulips are in bloom!

 And our viburnum is in bloom.

 And it smells sooooooooo beautiful!

And the violets are popping up everywhere~

 And the tennis ball plant is in bloom!  Mom forgets what it's really called but it's chartreuse and tennis ball flower is what we're calling it!

 Even the dandelions are looking cheerful!

The Duck Egg

Mom offered Molly a nice fresh egg that was just laid a short time ago by one of Speckles duckies.
 No thank you~

 Then she offered it to me.
