Yay for Walkies

We are finally getting a few days where we can go for a walk and not freeze to death!   This is my street that we're on.  It still has a lot of snow on it which means that it's slick so we have to be careful of our footing and of the cars.
This one is easier to walk on.   Yes, that is the mansion in the background that was for sale several months ago.    We think that Quinnipiac University bought it because there are lots of cars parked in the driveway and we see lots of students moving about.
The sidewalks have been cleared and we can move freely.
But it's still SuperFun to race around in my yard!

As of January 5th, we have a new landlord.   Mom took a walk to pay the rent and it just happens that she pays the rent inside a jewelry store.   Mr C was on the phone when she got there so she got to "shop" for 10 minutes.  She looked for a diamond tiara for me and a fancy collar with lots of bling but sadly, she didn't find either one.   How rude is that!   But she did see lots of beautiful jewelry that she would have loved to come home with.    Mom says that paying the rent could be a very dangerous thing!

A REAL Treat

Mom has a real treat for me for my meals for the next couple of days!
 Yummmmmm~~
 Yes, please!
I can't remember the last time I had sardines.
My dish is empty and I've been licking it clean for a full 5 minutes.
I can't wait till my next meal!

Yesterday's Blizzard

We got a blizzard yesterday that kept us inside all day.  Today is the fun day☺
Off I go~~
We're not exactly sure how much snow is out here because the winds blew it sideways and piled it higher in some spots and other spots aren't so deep.
 Ready for launching again!
Doing spins in the snow is fun☺
 Who turned out the lights!
You are all invited to come over!  This is so much fun!
 I'm in action!

No - I'm not ready to go back inside!   Meany mom only allowed me to stay outside for TEN minutes!  We have nine degree temps with zero degree wind chills and it's going to get worse before it gets better.
I sure did have a blast while it lasted!

Yay for Walkies

We finally got a couple of days when we could go on our walkies without the risk of frostbite!  It's still in the teens and we still have slight breezes but it's not as bad as it has been.
Mom insists that the first thing we have to do before we get into our coats is apply the Musher's Secret.
The Musher's Secret protects my paws from these horrible white streets with chemicals all over them to keep the cars safe.
This tree still has the gold Christmas balls on it.   It's very cheerful so we hope the decorations stay up for a long time!
And another yay today.      Mom had pizza for lunch with a friend and she brought home leftovers!
I'll drop my ball for pizza anytime, mom!

First Soup

Our first soup of 2018 is New England Clam Chowder~~
Mom was cooking onion and potatoes and a wee bit of carrot in her new pot that she got from my sissy for Christmas.   She got a whole set of pots and pans and she loves them.
She doesn't normally put carrot in her clam chowder but she said that she couldn't share onion and raw potato didn't sound too healthy so.............
Her new pot has a glass lid and she can see what's going on.   She LOVES her new pots and pans.  I think I mentioned that already☺
She took the Christmas stuffs and garlands away yesterday and it looked so bare.   My sissy gave her the idea to add the lights to the Christmas garland for the holidays.
So she switched the garland from evergreen to ivy and added the lights and voila - she's happy with it and she can see better at the kitchen sink!
And our very sad news -
Our dear friend, Uncle Phil, passed away yesterday.   He has been a NorthfordTimberFramer for a long time.   He loved Maggie and Maggie adored Phil and he loved Mitch. Uncle Phil was there when dad brought four month old Mitch home and mom and Maggie were meeting him for the very first time.  I knew Uncle Phil and so did Mackie.  We all loved Uncle Phil.   He gave the best back rubs.
Our longtime readers know the hours and hours that we spent at Crumpies.   Phil spent days and weeks and months there and he carved pinwheels in the beam that's right next to the entrance door and they will be there forever and ever.
The entire beam has Uncle Phil's pinwheels carved into it.
Uncle Phil drew years of timber frame class plans for dad.
He was there for every single celebration of life pawty and all of dad's workshops and barn raisings and so much more.   We will miss him for a very long time.   There will never be a more wonderful friend♥   Our hearts go out to his wife, Miss Amy and his daughter, Kim and his granddaughter, Faith♥

The Snow is Coming Down

It's been cold here and we've been missing our walkies because mom thinks it's too cold to be out gallivanting.
It's cold on my paws so we don't stay out for a long time.
 But before we head in~~~~~
I gotta get some action in!
 Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~
Lights - camera - action~

Christmas Pressies from my Sissy

My sissy gave me a Chuck-it ball for Christmas.   Normally, I won't pay attention to any other kind of ball except a tennis ball but not so with this one.   This one is fun!
She gave mom a heated mattress pad and mom is absolutely loving it.    She says that she can't wait to slip under the covers at night!
And she gave mom a Christmas cactus.   hummmmmm - we will see how long she can keep the plant alive.   Mom doesn't have good luck with plants that live inside.  She never remembers to water them.
And she gave us a firestick - and thankfully, my sissy set it up and showed mom how to use it or it would still be in the box.      It's time to make popcorn and watch a great movie on these bitter cold days, mom!
We had a wonderful Christmas and we hope that you all did too!

My Christmas Day

Because I opened so many pressies earlier this month, there wasn't a lot under the tree for me but I loved what I got!
I love interactive toys that dispense treats.  To me, they are so much fun!
Two of the drawers were easy because I just had to use my nose.
But I didn't know what to do with the ones with the ties on them.
Mom told me to "pull with my teeth" or "use my paw".
Let's just say, that's a work in progress.
I got an antler bone to chew☺
But the bestest gift of all!      It's not much but it's cold and it's white and Santa heard my plea and he granted my wish!  Thank you soooooooooo much, Santa!    You made this AireGirl VERY happy!
