Treacherous Tuesday

We started with a few flakes of snow last night and then it turned to sleet and now - freezing rain.
My grass is covered in ice along with our entire driveway.
The trees branches have ice on them.
Yes, it's beautiful.   Mom and I have paws and fingers crossed that we don't lose our power.
We watched "The Railway Children" movie that we have never seen before and we have no idea how we missed it.   It's a wonderful movie!
No walkies today because everything is too icy and treacherous.    Today is a great day to stay inside and work on my stuffed bone.

The Airedale Tree

The Airedale tree is always the first Christmas tree that mom puts up.   Most of the ornies are the wooden Airedales that she made over the years~
But there are other ornies too that she's made or collected.
Mitch and Maggie both have their own pewter bone ornies given to us by our friend angel Putter.
Each and every one has wonderful memories associated with it.

And in front of the Airedale tree is Santa on Rudolph.
Help me!   Santa is hugging too tight!

Nature Friday

We are joining Arty this week for Nature Friday~

The snow looks so pretty on the leaves that are still on our trees.

We found a broken Juniper branch on our walk that still has berries on it~
We found some fungi on a log on a very frosty morning~
 Happy Friday the 13th!

Yay for More Snow

We had dreary rain on Monday and Tuesday and it washed all of my beautiful snow away but we were blessed with more fresh snow yesterday morning!
I am starting to look more and more like a Wire Fox Terrier☺
 Just kidding~
I will get the ball, mom - not to worry!

Why are you laughing at me?
Who wants to come and play with me in my beautiful snow?
We will be serving bananas for lunch!

Molly Monday

We were thinking of our Mitch yesterday, as we prepared for walkies in the mid-teens.
Mom made this coat for Mitch the last Winter he was alive because the coat that she bought him was too short and he looked like he was wearing a mini-skirt and how can that keep your hiney warm.   He was on heavy duty meds at the time and his furs were thinning.
Mitch always ran from mom if she ever tried to put a coat on him.
But he accepted this one.   Mitch was a smart boy.
Thank you, Mitchy.   Your coat is nice and warm and yes, those are frozen leaves in my beard.   I love my nice long drink of water right before we head out and when it's cold, you know what that means!

Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~

Mom took pictures of the spruce tree bough in our back yard when it had lots of pretty snow on it.
The Holly looks even more Christmasy now!
And on our walk, the same family is selling Christmas trees and for the same price as last year.
We thought this tree was pretty cool with snow on its strategically placed branches.
 Happy Friday, everybuddy!

I Got Snow

We had rotten weather yesterday.   It was cold and rainy and horrible but last night, the rain turned to beautiful snow!  This is what we woke up to!
It's not a lot - only 2 inches or so but it's enough to have fun in!

 Incoming~
It's a wet and sticky snow and it kept clinging to my ball and I kept scratching and eating it off.

I just LOVE snow!
When it's hot out, I walk through that open door to let mom know I've had enough.   Today she told me - after seeing my snowball caked furs - that's enough for today, Molly.   Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I am so thankful for my beautiful snow!

Sunday Soup

I'm sure everybuddy is still enjoying turkey, turkey, turkey - what to do with all of that turkey!
Mom made turkey soup yesterday~
She offered me the raw turkey neck on Thanksgiving morning.  I am not a RAW fed dog so I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to do with this.
I decided that I like my dinner cooked instead and refused it.
Did any of you eat a raw turkey neck?
Happy Sunday and welcome to December!
