Nature Friday

 We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

Mom groomed me on Wednesday in preparation for the returning warmer temps~

The Rose of Sharon is blooming everywhere!

We found this raspberry  looking stuffs along our walk near the woods.   Mom looked it up and the intermuts say that it's a Wineberry~   They say that you can eat the berries but we didn't sample any.

Not So Tasty Tuesday

 We finally got out for walkies this morning.   Mom and I don't like the horrible heat with humidity and nasty bothersome bugs so we don't walk but today and tomorrow, we are getting a much needed break☺

Look what we found~~

Farmer Will must have forgotten to grab this bucket.  

Should we bring one or two of them home with us?     Mom says no - that would be stealing.  If we want yellow squash we need to take a ride up to the farm and pay for them, Molly.

Toasty Tuesday

 Our portable Aire-Conditioner is running non-stop in these toasty and humid temps.

Mom bought me another fan - just for ME!  

This particular fan is at the entrance to the kitchen and because it blows in the direction of the ac unit, it keeps the cooler Aire out of the kitchen so mom won't turn it on for a long period of time.  

I sure do love my fans!

Stay cool everybuddy!  The whole world seems to be in a wicked heat wave!

Birthday Girlz

 As so many of you know, my mom and angel Maggie shared a birthday.    Maggie would have been 24 years old today and mom says that sounds about right for her too☺

Happy Birthday, mom and Maggie!

She treated herself to the Beach Plum Cove series that she found on Ebay for a great price!  She finished the first book in the series - The Nantucket Inn, and loved it and she can't wait to continue with Nantucket Neighbors☺

And I hear that pizza is on the menu for dinner tonight!

 We love Miss Molly and Miss Violet - our beautiful Butterfly bushes!

For anonymous who wanted to see a butterfly on my nose.    Was that you, Miss Anni?    Here ya go!

Two weeks ago, Landlord Bob asked mom if she wanted a very bushy weed tree taken down that was right at the end of our driveway.   Mom couldn't say yes fast enough.  The next day, she was at the nursery buying another Butterfly Bush.   

Meet Miss Ruby~

She makes us think of Ruby the Airedale all the time.   We sure do miss her.   Does anybody know how her ma is doing?

 We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

We chose a different route earlier this week and we found the beautiful pink Astilbe in bloom~

Along the road, the Chicory is blooming~

The Trumpet Vine is flowering.  We never see hummers but I guess 7am might be too early for them to be out and about.

We found a white Hydrangea.

We found a beautiful blue Hydrangea in bloom!
