Yummy Christmas Pressies

We got Nylabone marrow bones for Christmas!
We don't have to argue, Molly.  We got two of them - one for each of us!
Mom says that she's going to stuff them for us.
She did!  She stuffed them with banana and small training treats and peanut butter and cream cheese.  yummmmm
We hope that she will stuff them again for us soon!  They kept us busy and happy for a long time!
Guess what I found on our walkies one morning.   A red necktie!   What a strange thing to find in the middle of the street but I did and I carried it all the way home.   Mom says that I look soooooo handsome♥

Candle of Hope and Easy Love

Angel Easy's urn is returning home today. We join Blogville in remembering him and all of the others that we said goodbye to this year.
It is so hard to say good-by to our beloved furkids and to go on without them.
Huge hugs to Easy's mom and dad♥
Our Mitch has been gone for 8 months.  It seems like only yesterday that he left us.   You're in our hearts forever, buddy
We sure do miss you.

My Very First Christmas

Yesterday, we got up, ate our breakfast, went for our walkies and came home to see what Santa left for us!
 This one is mine, Molly!
You can have everything else but the purple GoDog furballz Wookie is mine!

No, I am not chewing it, mom.   I am sucking on it and getting it all wet and yucky.   This way, Molly won't steal it from me.
Christmas is sure fun!   Can we please make it every day?!
We sure do miss you bunches, Mitch.    We wish we could have another Christmas together, buddy♥

We hope that Santa was good to all of you☺

Merry Christmas Eve

We haven't counted them but we got a ton of Christmas cards this year!   They don't all belong to us.  Some are mom and dad's.
We just love our Airedale cards from special friends♥
Remember my obedience school classmate, Wyatt?   He sent me a Christmas card!  Wyatt has an AireSissy named Scarlett.   Dad says that one of these days, we're all going to hike Sleeping Giant together.  We can't wait!
Miss Kate, angel Putter's mom, and her family sent us gingerbread AireCookies in that snowman tin. We got to try a piece and they are superyummy!
Our dear friend, Putter, passed away in October and we miss her. We will always miss her.   What we haven't told you is that Putter had a paw in sending a new pup to heal her family's broken hearts.
Meet Squirt!  He's a Westie pup.   And the part that you're not going to believe - not in 87 hundred years is that Squirt and angel Putter share the same birth date!  Is that so cool or what!

Someone posted this on one of our Airedale groups and we wanted to share it with all of you~~

•THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS AT RAINBOW BRIDGE•

'Twas the night before Christmas, at Rainbow Bridge too.
We Bridge kids were thinking as always of you.
We'd seen how the holidays weren't bright this year,
Heard you whisper so often, "I wish you were here!"

We know how you wish you could just stay in bed
And sleep through the holiday lying ahead,
When all celebrate with their loved ones so near...
Unless they have loved ones on this side this year.

But we're no less alive here, on the other side.
If you could just see us, you'd have laughed and not cried.
The dogs all in harness, pulling the sleigh.
The cats all in Santa hats pointing the way.

The pet birds all flying back over the rainbow,
Bound homeward in spite of Earth's darkness and snow.
All the pets that you've lost, pets for whom you've cried,
Flying home on this Christmas to be by your side.

If you feel warm fur brush you when no pet's around,
Hear a soft bark or purr, just a ghost of a sound,
We're trying to tell you we're visiting this way,
And our visits, even rainbows, can be on any day.

But for Christmas we have something special to do,
A sleighful of happy dream visits for you.
On doggy, on kitty, on winged friend and ferret!
The love that you lavished, we mean now to share it!

We're fetching that love home, the way we once played,
With the closeness we shared and the memories we made.
Our Earth lives with you were too short for us, too,
And on this Christmas Eve we have so much to do.

So all through this night as you sleep in your beds,
Sweet visions of fur babies dance in your heads.
This one special night we can bring you Home for a while,
Your true home in Heaven, where again you will smile.

Over the rainbow you'll fly, for a short while this night,
Hours that you'll be happy, hours that will feel right,
Hours to cuddle and hug us, to run and to play,
Before the return to Earth in our magic way.

And when you awaken and face Christmas Day,
We pray you'll remember your trip on our sleigh,
But in case you forget, just remember our love.
Remember us watching you, your angels above.

Sending love wrapped in rainbows, shining and bright,
Love that will guide you through the darkest night,
Love found in each memory unwrapped through the year,
Replacing dark sorrows with Christmas cheer.

Leave the toys to St. Nick, we Bridge kids bring dreams,
Sweet visits to remind you all is not as it seems
When you look all around you with tired Earthly eyes.
If you saw as we do, there'd be joy and surprise.

There are fur angels waiting by those Christmas trees,
Always there for you and hearing your pleas.
We're never more than a thought away from your home,
You're never forgotten, you're never alone.

Nor are we alone here, with our Rainbow Bridge friends.
We know only joy here, the celebrating never ends,
And after our reunions with you Christmas Eve,
We Bridge kids will party like you'd never believe.

But we'll slip away often to be by your side.
Sitting there watching you, eyes open wide,
Praying you'll be able to catch a glimpse of us, too.
But whether or not you see us - Merry Christmas to you

Love ya lots♥

Another Early Christmas Pressie

Mom was shopping at TJ Maxx and spied a beautiful Outback Jack coat and it was only $14.99!  She couldn't snatch it off the rack fast enough!
She brought it home and it fits me perfectly!
Angel Mitch hated wearing coats when he was younger and healthy so mom never made him wear a coat but when he got sick and his furs got thinner, then mom insisted.
Mom bet that I wouldn't like coats either but she's wrong.   I like being warm and wearing a coat just like Molly does!
And because mom is a nut - she took a look at me in my new coat and said, "OMD, guess who you remind me of, Mackie?!"
I"m Mackie Holmes aka Sherlock Holmes!
And of course, my assistant can be none other than Dr. Watson!
Thank you for my beautiful new coat mom!  I really love it!

Another New Rug

Tis the season for new rugs, we say!
A couple of weeks ago, mom ordered a new rug for our computer room from Rugs Direct.  A couple of days later, she got an email telling her that her rug was on back order and don't expect to see it until the end of March.   Naturally, this did not go over well with our mom.

We had seen recently that our friends, Khyra and Holly  got a new rug for their house and they were very happy with it.   Khyra's mom shared with our mom that she got her new rug at ESaleRugs and our mom headed over there lickitysplit and found one that she really liked and it was cheaper than the one at Rugs Direct!  It's called Montreal and she says it's such a relaxing color and design and she truly loves it.

Yes, we know that Huffy, the teddy has no eyes.  Angel Mitch pulled them off.

Did you notice my hand knit collar cover?   Mom knitted it a couple of years ago and I got to wear it today!
Stop laughing, Mackie.   The collar cover can work as an ear warmer too!
 Happy first day of Winter!

Stewart Real Beef Treats

We found a box from Chewy on our front porch in the snow on Saturday.   Don't worry - mom rescued it!
These Stewart Raw Naturals Freeze Dried Dog Treats are made in the USA and have no artificial preservatives.  They are wheat and corn and soy free.   No sugar has been added and they contain no wheat gluten.   What they do contain is beef heart, beef liver, broccoli, carrots, beef kidney, lettuce, apples, salmon oil, blueberries, cranberries and a whole lot of other great stuffs!
Santa is watching, Molly.   You better share or else!
They are heart shaped treats and this is the actual size~
Mom thought it might be fun to put one on Francesca's nose and let her dole out the treats.

Thank you so much for letting us try out these yummy Stewart treats!   We give them 8 paws up!
Can we please have another one, mom!

An Early Christmas Pressie

A package arrived here all the way from New Zealand.   Mom told me that it was a Christmas pressie for me!    She's not making me wait till Christmas to open it!  yay!
I got a new collar!    And it looks so handsome on me, don't you think!
Miss Rebecca, the store owner, sent me an ornie for the Christmas tree!
Are you sure that I'm not supposed to eat it, mom?!
Mom said it goes on the tree~
My new collar looks great with my Good Boy tag!   I'm sure stylin'!
Maybe Santa will bring you a bone just like this one so we don't have to share, Molly!
Christmas Eve is only days away!  We can't wait!

A Snowy Saturday

Guess what we got?
Six inches of snow!

It can't possibly be time to go inside yet, mom!
Angel Mitch's Christmas wreath looks beautiful with snow on it!
I love burying my face in the snow.   It feels so good on my face!
We can come back outside again soon, right?!

Kitchen Helpers

We're helping mom make cranberry bread!
Yes, we each had a frozen cranberry.  Mackie spit his out and rolled it around on the floor but it didn't stay on the floor too long.  He ate it and I ate mine too.   They're kinda tart, huh?
We got to taste-test the batter.   It's very yummy!
Let's play while the cranberry bread is baking, Mackie!
It smells wonderful, mom.   We hope we get to try a piece of it when it's sliced!
We also helped mom make gram's recipe for pizzelles~
Ya know, mom was talking to gram the entire time she was baking these pizzelles and we looked around and gram wasn't in the kitchen with us.  hummmmm
Not one cookie came out perfect.    But we had fun making them and yes, we did get to try a couple of pieces but we were too fast for the camera and mom missed those shots.
Mom brought home gram's crystal container that she always used for her pizzelles when she was in Florida at the end of October.   She says that filling it to the brim was the special part of her morning.
