Planting our Garden

Mom has been reading up on what NOT to plant in our garden if we want the plants to go uneaten by those nasty woodchucks!
Everybody knows that my mom LOVES poppies and they just happen to be one of the plants on the list so she got 2 packages of annual poppy seeds and one package of Cleome seeds.
The annual poppies can be planted in early spring so this morning, that's just what we did.  We planted them in the garden.
And mom was at Home Depot checking out what they had for plants and she found Garden Pinks, and Sage and Lavender.   The woodchucks aren't supposed to like these plants either.
She couldn't resist the Rosemary, which isn't on the list but it's another pretty strong aromatic herb.   They can't possibly like Rosemary, right?     Rosemary is considered a tender perennial in our area of the country and she can't go outside until after the danger of frost is past so she will have to hang out with the houseplants until the end of May.
We are crossing paws and fingers and hoping that the woodchucks will leave our plants alone so we can watch them grow and flower.
The sun feels so nice today~
I think I will be spending most of the day outside.  It's absolutely gorgeous here today!

I Have a new Sissy

My new sissy arrived on Monday - all the way from across the pond!   Her name is Eadie - short for Edith.
"Eadie came about as a pet form of the feminine name Edith, but is now found used as a name in its own right. The name is said to mean ‘Ambitious for Wealth’ and is of Old English origin. Use of the pet name Eadie may have been spurred in the 60’s when American actress and model Eadie Sedgwick, became famous from starring in several of artist Andy Warhol’s films."
What I want to know is why are you allowed on the sofa and I am not?!
 You play tennis ball, right?

Seeing as you are allowed on the sofa, we won't be sharing MY bed, right?!
Eadie is the creation of Miss Ann Curran of Ragtail.  Miss Ann also made Maggie AireBear♥
Miss Ann named Eadie and because my gram had a very dear friend named Miss Edith, we chose to keep her name just as Miss Ann named her.
Now about that game of tennis ball!
I think I'm going to like my new sissy!

Company on Friday

Mom told me that we were having company and I knew exactly what she was saying.     Fifteen minutes before Miss Edna was due to arrive, we were standing at the window watching for their car.   Mom has known Miss Edna since before my hooman sissy was born.
We had no idea that Miss Edna would bring her furdaughter, Marley May.  What a treat!

After you finish scratching your itch, could you please play ball with me, Marley May?
Excuse me - are we ready yet?!
Miss Edna brought mom beautiful flowers~
Is this a tennis ball flower, mom?
And Miss Edna brought wine and she and mom shared memories and laughed and had the bestest time!
Thank you so much for coming, Miss Edna and Marley May!    We hope to get together again SOON!

Flower Friday

We are joining Jakey for Flower Friday~

Off we go to find pretty spring flowers~
 The pachysandra is flowering~
And so are the hyacinths.   I know you want to get down on your hands and knees and sniff them, mom - but please don't embarrass me!
We found more hyacinths and some mini-daffys!
And we found pretty white violets blooming away right next to the road~
Hopefully, we will find more spring flowers in bloom soon~
Thanks for coming along on our walk with us.    Have a fantastic Friday, everybuddy!

A Dreary Thursday

We have a raw rainy day today.   All of the flooding that we got on Monday was absorbed into the ground the next morning and mom did laundry on Tuesday morning and the washer and dryer worked just fine.  She found a wee bit of water on the basement floor but it was no big deal.
It's still soft in my back yard but not too muddy if I don't get "too nosy" in the back left hand corner.
We've seen a woodchuck near the shed so we know that they made it through okay too.
Mom made Madi's soup this morning.  She decided to add black olives to the soup this time and she added some celery too.     It's the only kind of soup she makes anymore.  That's how much she loves it and it's the perfect day for soup!
 I love spinach!
And I got a carrot too even though she didn't put any carrots in Madi's soup.
We dodged the raindrops and got our walkie in☺
How about some tennis ball now, mom!

We used it as a topper~
And my din-din was good to the last morsel and then some~~    Mom says that my bowl hardly needs washing after all of the licking it clean bit!
To make it even more fun, mom was at TJMaxx and found this fun interactive toy.
She hid 4 morsels of Stewart Raw Natural nuggets inside the hedgehog's den~
She kept trying to get me to remove the hedgies first to make it easier but I smelled that yummy food and I needed to get to it asap~
Are there any more in there?
I got every single one of them, mom!
Thank you so much, Miss Natalie and the Chewy team, for letting me review this 5 star delicious food!  I give it 4 paws up!
