Our Welcome Flag

We have been seeing the coolest flags around Blogville and mom decided that we NEEDED to have one.

Guess what?  We were outside last Saturday in the snowstorm the whole time it was happening☺
Everyone who comes knows that our home is protected by two very sweet pups!  We are loving our new flag!

Cheesy Broccoli Soup

We helped mom make cheesy broccoli soup morning.

What do you mean we have to share the cream cheese wrapper?

How about a loaf of whole wheat beer bread to go with it!
Mom says this is the easiest bread that she has ever made - it's a quick bread - not a yeast bread and it's delicious!  We will be making this recipe again and again☺
Happy Friday!

My New Coat

For the record just so you know - I don't like coats - I never have.   I run when mom tries to put them on me.  They're silly and dumb but I've had to get used to them.

We've been having cold weather and we walk early in the morning and sometimes it's not only cold but windy and she says that when the temps goes below 20 degrees, the coats come out.   And since I've been on prednisone, my fur is not the same.  Do you think I'm going to go bald, mom?

I've been wearing angel Maggie's denim coat but it looks silly on me because it's too short.  It's supposed to reach the base of my tail and it doesn't.   Picture me in a mini-skirt.

A package arrived a couple of days ago and it's a beautiful new coat.   It looks long enough when I'm sitting but it isn't.   As soon as I stand on all fours, it's 3" too short.  I need the coat to come to the base of my tail.  I hardly have an furs on my tail!  This coat must be returned.
So mom took matters into her own hands and went fabric shopping.
I'm ready for my first official walk in my new warm coat, mom~
It's 7 am and around 10 degrees.   brrrrrrrrrr
The velcro strips wouldn't hold so mom had to add buttonholes and buttons.   It's definitely long enough but it's sliding to the side.  Maybe the button is too big and heavy.
Mom says the brown is boring and we need to personalize it just for me☺
Our wooscotti are almost all gone!   We need to bake more, mom!

Another Taper

Dad and mom took me to see my vet again and he weighed me and I'm still 63 pounds, which is good.   I stopped losing weight - yay!   He put yellow dye in my eye and turned off all of the lights in the examining room and shined a blue light into my eye and it glowed green.   I still have the ulcer so the antibiotic eye drops and the gooey eye gel have to continue.   It sure takes a long time for this stuff to work its way out of my eye.
They stole my blood and the results are back and I'm doing okay, holding my own and I'm in partial remission.  I got another taper on my prednisone.  Fingers and paws are crossed that I don't go backwards.

I got to spend some alone time with mom while Molly and dad played tennis ball in the workshop.  Actually, dad works and Molly begs him to throw the ball.  She is so obsessive about it!

I remember the treat machine, mom!  How nice to be able to push the handle and eat my own rewards without "someone" stealing them from me!
I sure like sharing time with you without Molly, mom.  It's fun☺

A Great Day So Far

We had another rainy gloomy morning here this past Saturday and mom decided to groom Molly.
 Are we almost done yet?
And guess what came after Molly's groomies?
WOOSCOTTI!    We have been waiting for mom to make these ever since we saw them on Cammie and Maggie's blog!
We see a pattern happening here.  Groomies and then baking cookies!   Does anybuddy know of a way to make our furs grow faster?!  We are liking this new routine!

The wooscotti is ready to bake in the oven, Molly~
The recipe said that you might get a few crumbs.  hummmm - maybe wooscotti is not your thing, mom.  We see almost as many crumbs as cookies!
Your favorite helpers are waiting for a taste!
 Delicious~
The rain has stopped.   Time for our walkie, mom!
Yes, we will wait while you take of picture of the pretty red berries.

What a fun day we're having and it's not over yet!

Dreams

Our dreams last night~~
Our dreams came true!
They could have dumped more than this on us but we'll take it.  Mom and dad are happy that they don't have to shovel.
Now about those treats in your pocket, mom.
 Let's play, Mitch!
 You photobombed me, Molly!
I'm ready for that second treat now!
Happy Monday, everybuddy!

A SuperFun Trip

Guess where we got to go after lunch?
CRUMPIES!
Mom and dad both told us that we had to be on our BESTEST behavior!
Look at all the clocks that he has added since the last time we were here, Molly!

We are so psyched to be here again.   This is one of our most favoritest places to be in the whole wide world!  Heck, we both grew up here!

No, mom.  I am not running.  Why ever would you think that?!

Mom says that it's a real privilege to be in the company of all of these gorgeous clocks that were built in the 1700 and 1800's.
Each clock is an exquisite work of art.

You can't tell from the photos but the glass doors that cover the clock faces all have that wavy antique glass that is so very beautiful and you can see all of the hand plane marks in the wood.  The clocks are all so gorgeous!

Mom says that she could spend HOURS in here and these aren't even all of the clocks.  These are just a few!   The rest of them are yet to come.
We found this wooden movement upstairs on the second floor.
No mom, I am not racing up and down the stairs - promise!
Here ya go, mom.   Now you can spend your hours!
Hi, mom!
This sure was a superfun trip!
And we wish we could stay longer.  That was fun☺
