SnowShoes

We were on our walkie a couple of days ago, and Rocky's mom broke into hysterical laughter and said that my feets looked like snowshoes!   And she got mom and dad to giggling about the size of my paws!
My paw fits perfectly on mom's hand.  It couldn't be a more perfect fit!
Do my feets remind you of snowshoes?!

On the Job

Dad and mom are going at it on the front of the house.   The new roof shingles are in place but they ripped off the clapboards and all of the blown-in insulation fell out.   There was no sheathing under the clapboards.   Picking up and bagging blown-in insulation is NOT fun but at least it happened outside!
They've moved onto another project. This time it's the basement windows.   The old ones are coming out~
And the masons put the new ones in~
Beautiful sill!   You guys do fabulous work!

And another project is in the works too.   Mom has wanted a paddle fan in the family room FOREVER!
It's in and working and mom and dad are both smiling☺
Update - there are 2 working paddle fans in the family room!  yippeeeeeeeeee
Thank doG they have us on the job!  Too many projects at the same time is just too confusing!

Two Surprise Boxes

On Friday afternoon, mom found 2 boxes -the exact same size, on our back porch.   They were from Chewy.   She didn't remember ordering anything recently so naturally, we couldn't wait to open the boxes.   OMD, were we ever surprised!

Mom spread the beach towel on the floor and placed the  flip flops and cups and beach bag and sweet note right there and went to grab the camera.  When she came back in less than 30 seconds, this is what she saw, without the sunglasses on Mackie's head, of course☺
Mackie was already enjoying all of this fun and very useful stuffs.
We need a trip to the beach!  Chewy has us all set up for a fun trip and soon!   We can go, right?!
Thank you so very much, Miss Sydney and Chewy!  What a wonderful surprise!   You guys are so sweet and always doing the most specialest stuffs for us and for so many.     You guys rock♥
Thank you!

Flower Friday

We're joining Dory once again for Flower Friday~
Our pink Bachelor Button is blooming~
The Foxglove is blooming in the wildflower garden.   Mom never planted this.  It keeps coming back year after year.
 Borage~

Our Smoke Tree matches the siding on our barn.  One of our projects this summer is to paint the two gable ends.
 Honeysuckle.   It smells WONDERFUL!
 Wild white Yarrow~
Don't eat the pretty Lilies, Mackie!
 The fragrant Lavender~
Happy Friday, everybuddy!

A Fun Day

Mom got out our treat balls and filled them with treats.  I haven't played with this ball in a long time!
It doesn't take long to learn how to get those treats out, does it, Mackey!
And we had fun with Mackie's rope toy~

Mom came home with a new toy for you know who.   It seems like everything is for him these days.  hummmm
Playing with an almost 15-week old puppy is hard work at times!   Mom put him on the scale today.   The little piglet is 27 pounds!
 We sure love fun days☺

Another First for Me

I got to go to my very first Northford Timberframers workshop yesterday!
Molly and Mom weren't there so Auntie Rebecca puppy sat for me.
She put me in this very cool t-shirt and told me that I'm the newest mascot for the Northford Timberframers☺
I got to meet all of the hard workers!    I'm a celebrity!
This timber frame belongs to my Uncle Bill.   He was with dad the day angel Mitch came home to live with us and Uncle Bill was also there to pick me and dad up at the AirePort when dad flew down to Missouri to get me.
This timber frame will be raised in September in Maine.
Mascots get to attend barn/house raisings, don't they?  I'm going to need more than one t-shirt, Auntie Rebecca!
NTF workshops are hard work!

Mackie's First Time

Guess where we went on Wednesday?
It was Mackie's very first time and he made it all the way to the top and all the way back down!
Because it's Flower Friday, we were looking for flowers along the way.   The beautiful Mountain Laurel is everywhere in full bloom and it's just beautiful!  Mom so wishes that it had a fragrance.  Imagine the perfume we could have had while hiking Sleeping Giant☺
There are hundreds of them everywhere!
We did find a wild rose~
We found 2 wild roses  but not much else along our path.
We did meet lots of dogs and many of them were puppies but not as young as Mackie is.  Mackie is 14 weeks old today.
 Time for a water break~
We're heading to the top of the castle☺

We can see for MILES up here!
It's more impressive when you see it in person.
 On our way down~
We couldn't leave without taking a picture of the castle~
These steps mean we're almost to the end of the hike.   Mackie doesn't do steps yet so he's cheating.
He looks very alert in this picture but 5 minutes later, he was out like a light.  That was a lot of walking for a little boy!
 We had a blast!
We mentioned your name many times along the way, angel Mitch.  We sure did miss you on our hike, buddy.    Mitch has been gone 2 months and we miss him LOTS!  We put a bouquet of feathers on his final resting place.
