Our First Painting Together

Mom commissioned Miss Barbara to do a painting of us together. This is a first! We already have one painting of Mitch - but we didn't have one of us together!

We have quite a few of me! These are paintings, not prints! I seem to be all over the house!

Are you sick of seeing me yet?! These are just a few! We have Airedale art all over our house! Mom is just a wee bit obsessed to put it mildly!

So back to the "us" painting! You all saw this posting of Mitch and I posing with Kipper, our Airedale stuffie friend. The posting even tied for post of the month with Penny and Poppie's posting, which we thought was AWESOME!

Anyway, mom thought that one of the photos in this posting would make an awesome painting, so she and Miss Barbara worked together and they chose this one for her to paint from.

And here is the masterpiece!

Isn't it just awesome?! It's a Valentine theme and that's why there are hearts everywhere! We just love all of the bright cheerful colors! We're going to hang it in our hallway near the Amish quilt that mom made in 1986! The colors in the quilt and the colors in this painting blend very well together plus it will brighten up our hallway even more!

Here's the quilt and mom has temporarily hung the painting in front of the quilt so you can see how well the colors blend!

Mom is very happy to finally have a painting of both of us together! We sure think Miss Barbara is one of the best painters ever!

So until next time.........

Love ya lots,

Maggie & Mitch

Hey, Maggsie Girl!

You look AWESOME in every painting! How many MORE Maggie paintings does your mama have?

I Love the painting of you and Mitch. Miss Barbara totally captured your look of long-suffering sisterly patience. It will look FABulous next to the Amish quilt.

Give your mama a big juicy goober smooch from me... just because!

Goober love,

Wooooooooooo! I love the way the painting goes so well with your bee-woo-tiful quilt! Mom's always wanted to do an Around the World, but hasn't. I'd help her pick the colors, so I don't know what she's waiting for!
All of those paintings are pretty. I like the one of you with the pansies.

I could never tire of seeing pictures of you. Those are very nice. I think Grammie needs to get a picture of all of us. The quilt is lovely. Grammie sometimes wishes that she could quilt, but then she would probably never get anything done.

That is fantastic Maggie. Your mum must be so happy with it.
That Amish quilt is interesting. What makes it Amish (we hope that isn't a silly question, pinky made us ask)?

Mom just loves your painting. She'd like to have one of us, but we aren't very cooperative with pictures. Our Christmas photo was the best one of the 2 of us together, and that wasn't saying much because Rosie wasn't too happy about it. I of course was quite photogenic.
