Mitch Monday

Mom thinks that I could be on the cover of GQ Magazine.  What do you think?

The cupola was placed on Brian and Jill's barn this past weekend.
The barn raising was the previous weekend.
The roof looks odd because there are actually two sets of rafters and two roofs on this building with insulation in between.  Our dad used this same method when he built the addition on his workshop years ago.
The cupola is looking great in its new home!  It won't be long before the roof is shingled!

And I have fabulous news!
The Airedale Rescue Quilting Bee is especially proud to announce the 2012 Fundraising project has exceeded all expectations - the grand total is over $18,000!  Whooooooohooooooo
Sue Forrester won the Garden Pawty quilt and we are just thrilled for her!

So until next time..........

Love ya lots,

I should definitely be on the cover of GQ magazine.
I always get a homely feeling when I see a barn being raised. Here in SA all our houses are made of brick...and they take months to build. Your barns give me such a sense of community.
The quilt is exquisite...truly stunning!
Sending lotsaluv to you all
