One Week Later

What a difference a week makes!   One week ago, this was our scene.
This is the scene today.  There are still high snowbanks but as least we can move.
It's hard to pull out onto the street at corners because of so much snow.  You have to be very careful you don't get clipped!
Some schools are still closed because of clean-up efforts.
It's still hard for the mailman to get close enough to the mailbox to deliver the mail.
It makes our bidness very challenging. There's no grass to sniff and we can't get off the road and I, Mitch, am a fuss fudget and I am very particular where I go!  Molly is easy. She'll go anywhere! She's not fussy at all!
One of mom's garden ornies is finally able to poke her head through the snow! This cement "globe" is 3 feet tall!
The waterfowl are happy. The temps have been in the 40's during the day so the water is thawing and they are gaining more swimming space.
The black swans are still hiding in their house.    I don't think they want to come out until spring!
The weatherman is predicting snow for us tomorrow.  He can't be serious!

So until next time.........

Love ya lots,

We can't BELIEVE that you are going to get MORE snow on top of all of that.
Schools still out? WOW..

HOLY MOLEY... STILL almost 3 feet Deep. No wonder it is tough to do your bidness. No place TO do it.

Wow! You've come a long way, but more snow? Oh no!

better to tell the snow to keep on moving cause there is no place for it to fall anymore.

Wowwee, we have never seen snow like that in our lives. We love playing in it but it must be a drag having to cope with it day after day.

Oh Mitch and Miss Molly: We think you guys had best be ready for some snow...even here in Richmond we are expecting to have some snow fall, though we do not expect it to stick. I think Mitchie needs some snowshoes!

Lots of snow for sure! We'd love it. Sorry that it's so much work for your folks though. That shoveling can get tiring. Hope you have a great weekend.

I can see why the black swans would be hiding, they're native to Western Australia... It certainly doesn't snow there... bol!

Just what you need! More snow! Maybe you should get your dad to shovel a large patch for you to use.

Hi, Mitch and Molly -

Our snow has also melted a lot too. We can actually see a patch of grass in the back yard. But we may also get more snow. Mama and Papa are tired of looking at snow and can't wait for spring.

Can't say that I blame the black swans! It's pretty to see all that long as you don't have to DRIVE in it. (Or shovel it!) We hope you don't get TOO much more! Tonight is going to be the coldest we've had since 2010. We will be picking our "spot" in record time so we can get back in! Stay warm!

Wow that's a lot of snow. There's nothing like that here except on the ski hills. In the city it's sunny and dry. The rain's on its way though.
