The Beard Challenge

Stanley and I have a challenge going! We want to see who has the longest beard by January 1, 2008! We have 3 whole months to go! That means every time mom grooms me, she doesn't even think about touching the length, right mom!

















I do have a few years on him! I'm 9 years old and Stanley is only 16 months old, but if he's game then so am I!
I've got just over 3" Stanley! What do you have?















I hear rubbing ripe banana and raw egg in your beard encourages growth! I'll have mom stock up on TONS of it! What do you hear, Stan or are you keeping that a secret?
I need a haircut very badly and mom says possible Thursday I'll be upstairs in the grooming room! That'll make my beard look even longer *winking*













awwwwwww come on, mom! This is going a little bit too far, don't you think?!

















I need to do some serious thinking about how best to win this challenge!

    Glad you accepted my challenge! I would share my beard growing secrets with you if I had any. But if I find some secret remedy I'll definitely share.

    I'll have to have my girl measure my beard. She's promised not to touch it until New Years. Let the contest begin!!

    Oh...this is going to be fun. I think you both will need to do a weekly check in on beard length so we can see how things are progressing. The barrette is a cute touch...but I say do a braid instead - LOL!!!

    So Mags...does this mean your new nickname is the bearded lady? LOL hee, hee, hee!!!

    You and Stanley are so lucky. My mom keeps my beard nice and short. Something about dripping water all around the house or something... Personally, I love a nice long beard! Good luck with this contest, I'm sure you will do great!

    I'm curious as to how long an Aire-beard really does grow! We Bedlies aren't allowed beards so when we get some chin-whiskers it's shaved off. Our hair's so fine it would probably mat up anyway...

    Hey Maggie...I'm in on this contest. I have a fab beard for only being 7 months old...You'll never see Scruff in this contest...Mumsie has NEVER trimmed his beard...and it doesn't grow!! And...well we were playing the other nite and I "thought" I had a grip on the tennis ball he had in his big smelly foxy mouth. But, no...I had a death grip on his fairly pathetic foxy beard..he went one way and I went the other....riiiiippppppp! Big chunk of Scruffy beard missing now! TEEHEE.

    Hey Maggie, putting the barette in your beard makes it look more feminine. you will be able to put it in a pony tail by the end of the year. good luck to you. it will be an interesting competition.

    What a great contest. My Mummy knows of an old wives tale that if you rub whisky over your beard, it will make it grow faster. Do try it. Even if it doesn't grow longer you get to have whisky!!
